Thought it would be interesting to see what other people have as favorite performances. To keep it interesting and not too long, post single live performances, not full shows. Also, give a few words about why it's special to you.
I'll start :
My favorite version of Digital Bath. It's regarded as the best by many, and I agree. Lo-fi quality, but it adds to it, the mood looks perfect, and Chino's vocal performance is better than on any other performance of Digital Bath. Especially the end of the last high "More", that last weird sound he makes (at 3:26) like on the record, he almost never did that as far as I recall.

I've always been a huge fan of their Weezer - Say It Ain't So Cover. Not sure the date or venue of this particular one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev7Y0nPWzo8 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev7Y0nPWzo8)
This is an awesome thread idea, Ves - and great submission. That's always been one of my favorite deftones performances overall. Also, despite how iconic the suit/tie look was for chino during white pony, there's relatively little footage from that period. So it's nice to see it preserved and documented.
I was going to submit the backstage video from 2000, but it appears to have been removed from Youtube. I believe it was filmed by Donk in Michigan. Deftones and Kid Rock are hangin out backstage, and then they eventually take the stage. Chino rips off aviators and tears into BQAD. Awesome vid, hopefully I can dig it up back home and share. In the meantime, here's one of my favorite live "performances" - technically a rehearsal, but still. I love how Chino closes his eyes and goes into another space before he tears into Elite.

I'd say 96 but not too sure, I'll check when I get my external drive (with my bootlegs) back. In the meantime, if anyone knows...

Rehearsals are good as well!
There's that really moody performance of Mascara from an older show maybe Roseland Ballroom 98', Ves knows the one I'm talking I remember him posting about it, I like it because Chino's voice has a real grain to it and he also adds little bits to the vocals that fit in really well, also I love the performance of Change from their musique plus appearance it's really intense , Chino's voice has a weird texture to it and the guitars seem crunchier but mainly it's seems like each one of them is in the zone with each other and just living the song.

always will be upset they threw out FOD, that song paints a picture of how the band was at that time with a perfect mixture of experimental rock and metal

great vid from a great era. there's definitely an urgency and hunger in those performances back then. the band, though, has since improved on the live breakdown - it's become much larger and more dramatic, for the better.

Most likely not. They played a bunch of rare songs in 1999, it's just that not many bootlegs exist from those days. Rumors say they played a few White Pony demos during the Ozzfest tour, other than Pink Maggit and Korea.

I post this video all the time but is such an awesome performance... proshot video, studio like sound quality. I just can imagine how it felt when the song kicked in after Chino's soft and dreamy guitar intro. I'm sure people felt all that powerful wall of sound in their whole body.

I remember there was a video floating around of When Girls Telephone Boys which (I think) was recorded in Canada somewhere when they were supporting Slipknot on a short tour back in 2008 maybe? Can't find the video for that though...
And a performance of Knife Party in 2000/01 where Chino is in the crowd, using a wireless radio mic as opposed to his normal cabled mic, and was wearing a white t-shirt. Great atmosphere. But again, I can't find the video...

Yeah, that WGTB performance was in Calgary. Chino screamed the whole thing from start to finish, with ease I never heard from him, it was quite mindblowing. glasstone1983 has a rip of the dead YouTube vid.
Regarding Knife Party, you're probably talking about one of those two shows

Sorry to bump this but I was watching this video again tonight (as I often do) and I felt the need to talk about how much I love it.
It's probably my favourite live Deftones video and one of my favourite live videos of all time. Pink Maggit is and will always be my favourite Deftones song anyway and even hearing a demo version of it live is a trip for me. The atmosphere, the intensity, the chill you get from Chino's fucking spellbinding voice (especially at 2 mins when he goes high) is amazing. Then, of course, it kicks into an outstanding version of BQAD where I find it hard to even pick my favourite bit - whether it's the general energy, or the part at 6:03 where Chino switches it up high and cracks a smile because he's nailed it, or Chi blaring out "I DON'T CARE WHERE, JUST FAR!" or the PJ Harvey tag on at the end - it's just so great and it perfectly captures almost everything I love about this band.

One of my favorites as well. So fucked up That we don't have a recording of the whole song. Makes me sick . And he sounds absolutely incredible there. Good lord.
There is this one version of Hexagram that I've seen that is just sick.
And the "If Only Tonight We Could Sleep" song they did on that Cure icons show or whatever. Just awesome.
I always liked the Letterman performance of Change
I love this Digital Bath. The mood is so great. The lighting the risers on the stage. So bad ass. To me it sounds like a slower tempo. Love Abe's hair at the end just swinging ha.

None to date.
Only a few bootlegs, the 1st one being from 2001.
Awesome thread!! Maybe we can get to a best-of sort of thing through this :) Those House of Blues, New Orleans 2010 videos are killing!
What springs to my mind is a version of Lotion in Dortmund 2010. Awesome era (Chino was fit as a fiddle) and wicked performance. However, I picked this because of the crowd. Look at around 2:05 and see the whole joint just go mental.

Also I'm looking for a 2016 (yes!) version of Around the fur, where the end was just brutal. Chino jumping onto Abe's kit and his screams were top notch. I think it was an entire show so have to see if I can find it again and subtract the song.
