I'm wondering if anybody knows if this is the show they recorded for the Music In High Places DVD? I always thought that it was post white pony tour but according to the archive, the only Hawaii date around that time is pre-white pony release.
Nah, not a chance. I know almost for sure it was recorded in 2001, I just don't know when exactly. I would say somewhen between February and April.

Got it, from what I can tell Chino is absolutely strung out and ready to be done with it all so it definitely makes much more sense to be recorded in 2001 towards the end of the White Pony tour. For some reason I remember hearing an interview about them going there because it was a free trip to Hawaii.
I remember reading something happened to him. Like, during the acoustic set his voice is crystal clear, but it's fucked up during the onstage set. A throat infection happened because of the fumes from the melting stones. His voice was actually back on point from Feb to July 2001.

also, it first aired on mtv july 26 2001, 11pm et (i made sure i watched it too, told work i'd be a tad late) when it aired on mtv it was missing BQAD, & the bit about if you committed a crime they'd chase you trying to kill you, & if you made it to the little island you were given a 2nd chance
came out on dvd a full year after it first aired on mtv

I think it actually aired first on a directv channel. It was part of their music in high places specials. I remember sugar ray doing one as well.
