Without a doubt my favourite director. His movies are just pure brilliance.

Discuss this great director and pick a fav movie.

My favourite is Taxi Driver (also my favourite movie ever). Just a perfect movie with a perfect performance by Robert De Niro.

i love scorsese too, and although i haven't seen all of his films, of all the ones i have seen i would say the aviator is his best.

the aviator was monumental and should have won best picture.  im not a fan of leonardo dicaprio, but he became howard hughes in that film.  i just loved the passion and energy and ambition that dicaprio displayed in hughes.  the movie is beautiful to watch too, and it's entertainment at its best.

I cant really pick one.

Obviously an incredible, incredible director. As far as entertainment value goes though, Spielberg really does pwn his ass.

King Of Comedy (DeNiro's best comedic performance of all time) and Bringing Out The Dead (real gritty and surreal flick with solid acting...love it) are two of his more underrated flicks.

Yeah, probably...at least Pesci won an Oscar. He's definitely the best character in the movie and the reason why I voted for Goodfellas.

"Funny how? What I'm like a fucking clown?"

so i tried to rank the scorsese movies i've seen so far (best to least favorite):

1-taxi driver
2-goodfellas
3-raging bull
4-the king of comedy
5-casino
6-bringing out the dead
7-mean streets
8-the gangs of new york
9-cape fear

still need to watch some of his movies. i'm sure 'the departed' will be ranked high on my list once i've seen it.

I really couldn't choose between Raging Bull and Taxi Driver. I have always loved Scorsese as a director and he probably is my favorite. But sometimes i go through phases. Like Raging Bull will be my favorite movie for a little while and then i'll start watchin Taxi Driver a lot and that'll be my favorite and so on and so on....

^ you joke-sters... i was talking about his movies.. they dont really get my mojo going..just because a director has a large budget, and can cast big name celebs, doesnt mean his movies are inspirational to me. thats all i meant.  :-*
