Awesome thread.

My introduction to music was my Dad's vinyl collection hence I'm a pretty big fan of older music.

Black Sabbath
The Doors
Rolling Stones
MC5
Staus Quo
Jethro Tull
Neil Young
Pink Floyd
Led Zepp
Jimi Hendrix
The Who

...I could go on all day but shit there was some great music being made and I'm quite envious of the generation that was our age when all this great music was coming out.

Being a hippy would have been rad.

no way. i understand people not liking their first couple cds, but
Rubber Soul (1965)
Revolver (1966)
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967)
Magical Mystery Tour (1967)
The Beatles (The White Album) (1968)
Abbey Road (1969)
Let It Be (1970)

are all incredible records. that fact they made so much great music and such an impact on the music scene in just 10 yrs is amazing. you may not be a fan of their music. i can respect that. but to say they are overrated is just plain wrong.
