Serge Gainsbourg - Histoire de Melody Nelson

http://www.mediafire.com/?ymwjyzwniyn

Genre: Pop, experimental
Year: 1971
Histoire de Melody Nelson is a 1971 concept album by French songwriter Serge Gainsbourg. The Lolita-esque pseudo-autobiographical plot involves the middle-aged Gainsbourg unintentionally colliding his Rolls Royce Silver Ghost into teenage nymphet Melody Nelson's bicycle, and the subsequent seduction and romance that ensues. Histoire de Melody Nelson is considered by many critics and fans to be Gainsbourg's most influential and accomplished album.

my favourite song of this album is En Melody. This guy is a major influence in one of my favourites band, the french electronic duo Air, you can see a lot of the same vibe on this record.

on a side note Serge is also known for this akward episode with Whitney Houston
Gainsbourg and Whitney Houston

interesting. Sounds almost like something that could be used in a western soundtrack, which is allright cause i've been really heavy into the Ennio Morricone soundtracks lately.

bright lights, big city

Definitely a good album. It didn't quite grab me as much as i'd hoped, but I don't think this will be the only time i listen to it.
