Tons of albums leak early these days. New Manson was 10 days.

Fit for a king was 10 days as well. I think.

It'll happen within the next week.

Gore leaked about 2 days in advance with the shitty vinyl leak being about 5 or 6 days I'd say. I'd recommend everyone here definitely avoid listening to a vinyl leak if one pops up again, was not worth it, I gave up like 3 or so songs in thankfully.

That's two albums. The majority of them don't leak that early. I would have been very surprised if Ohms had leaked by now.
I could float here forever

Lots of albums don't leak. I don't see this appearing until two/three days before release, if at all.

I'd say it will leak at least of the 25th.

I want to listen to the new album with the best quality possible, without buying a vinyl (I don't have or plan to have the equipment), or a cd (which is rarely of good quality anyway), at least for the first few listens. What are the best legal options?

I guess I'll go with HDTracks?

Someone mentioned I think in one of the other topics that they think this might be one of the softer records if not the softest record by what they've been hearing. But when Chino rated or discussed all the albums he mentioned that it has a lot of energy this time around and didn't rule out that it wasn't heavy he just said it's subjective. That interest me and I think with that being said and having Terry back on board and everybody Really getting along and being stoked about making records again, at least us hard-core fans and maybe the masses will love this record. Like I said before I have a great feeling about it and I won't eat my words. I've been digging a little for interviews and articles about what Chino has to say before an album drops and he just seems more confident and excited this time around..... I am toooooooooo

This album will 100% not be their softest record, not will it be soft.

;) All good bud. Just wanted to stoke the fire a little around here. This couldnt happen at a better time! Summer's about over here in eastern NC USA and with the pandemic and the civil unrest and the looming presidential choice coming up where we pick the better of two evils, I/we all have had a strange year and we need some new Deftones! And its really looking like we wont be dissapointed. I pray its a banger and has those legs their earlier stuff has. Something we all still talk about proudly 10-20 yrs from now.

Ohms will be a balance of heavy and melodic just like all Deftones albums. Even if Chino doesn't scream on a particular song, Stephen will still likely bring a heavy riff. That's kind of their thing.

Word! Less than 2 weeks guys.

Overall they are generally balanced. But S/T for example skews heavy. DE skews heavy. KNY is most balanced to me. Gore skews fairly light  although not like, soft soft. My hope is that Ohms skews heavy. Just a tad is fine. Doesn't have to be relentless.

Of course. But theres a slightly different "magic" that was more present on some albums than others i think and im hoping i can identify that this time around

I would love a record that I play right through beginning to end every time I listen to it. Most of their records are like that for me but the last three for me have gems on them but a lot of tracks I don't even listen to. I imagine some of us feel that way
