I see you are liking the Jakob? ;D Currently my favourite band, can't stop listening to Solace...

Here you are sir:

Jakob - Cale:Drew

Thanks again! I'm loving this band! It's a pity their other albums are hard to come by :(

Karma for introducing me to this amazing band!   8)

Starz

Thanks.

Yeah I just ordered Cale:Drew all the way from Australia. Not too steep on the old bank in fact considering it's coming from the other side of the world!

Glad you like them

Sweet  8) Ha! Must be a good retailer you got, lucky  ;)

Starz

Oh man, I think Cale:Drew is even better than Solace!

It arrived in the mail today and it's utterly mind blowing! It's one of the most dark and emotional but at the same time up lifting albums I have heard in a long time. In a perfect world Jakob would be huge! Amazing stuff from the boys of New Zealand!

Apparantly they will be touring Europe and the UK soon, yes!

duckies

I agree! It's amazing. Loving these guys so much  8)

Ah sweet, must try to catch one of their gigs. Cool :)

New Beastie Boys just leaked!""#€ OMG Downloading now.

So why am I posting this here? Because it's an instrumental-album.

Havn't heard it yet, but here's a song from it, sounds hella nice if you ask me.

A Silver Mount Zion - Born Into Trouble As The Sparks Fly Upward

Quote:
A Silver Mt. Zion is a post-rock band formed in 1999 by Godspeed You! Black Emperor musicians Efrim Menuck, Sophie Trudeau and Thierry Amar.
Unlike Godspeed You! Black Emperor, A Silver Mt. Zion's music often features vocals. The last few albums they have released contain no purely instrumental tracks. Efrim confessed that he was uncomfortable with this at first, feeling "foolish" and uncomfortable with the role of the singer in music generally.
The addition of members has moved their music from a well weighted, and curiously empty (in terms of space) sound to all encompassing and complex arrangements, recently focusing more on vocal layers.

I really dig this album...
