ive checked this thread from time to time. just regged to say hello, and to thank for the music-recommendations. atm im completely lost in Grails, Magyar Posse and Laura

It feels good to know you like the music I recommend. It doesn't matter if only a few people dig it, but it means there are more fans of that band than there were yesterday. This is why threads like this are so important, stops people from listening to the garbage which is processed to us everyday! :-)

I have another recommendation for you guys. It's really nice chilled post-rock with some Radiohead and DJ Shadow influences and vocals too!

Basically, if your a fan of Team Sleep then you should fucking love this

Incredible band from Norway. If you like groups as Jaga Jazzist or  Samuel Jackson 5, you would be interested in Tuna Laguna.

Hope you like it  ;D

Nice to hear, as there is so much absolute nonsense, which people manage to label as music which just takes over the TVs recently. Over in the UK where I'm from there's 3 decent channels. MTV2, Kerrang and Scuzz. But recently Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance are on constantly which fries my head!!  >:( Their music is so unoriginal and bland  :-\

Anyway, thanks for the link. I'll try it out :) I need to try out Team Sleep also :)

edit3 :D Thanks neurotic. I'll try them out 'cos I love EITS :) Thanks :)

tarkil

I listened to the Rosetta's album that was posted some time ago...

It's just plain awesome... I need to buy asap.

Thanks to whoever posted it.....

If ignorance is bliss, then knock the smile off my face.

ScreaminCat

hey, I'm not sure where to post this exactly but i'll try here.
I was in a bar the other night and this band with a guy and girl singer were playin on the juke box.  anybody know a band that has a guy and girl singer?  there cant be too many.
thanks.

Starz

Yeah I managed to find a copy of that Crippled Black Phoenix album in my local record shop and bought it... It's a good album but also a very long one...

@ScreminCat: The only band I can think of right now with a girl and guy singer is a band called The Provenance from Sweden, but they wouldn't really fit under the 'post-rock/ambient' label though... But still worth checking out! I'll upload the album if you want.

hey, thanks for the info.  no need to upload, its cool, i'll see if i can find them.  if the bar had them on the juke, they should'nt be too hard to find.  i'll poke around a bit more.  thanks!

This is one of my all time favourite post-rock album.. Crawlspace is the best song while you're driving home late at night....:)

Caspian - The four trees
http://www.mediafire.com/?4qogjommjg2

QuoteCaspian is an instrumental rock band from Beverly, Massachusetts. The band formed in Autumn of 2003 and played their first concert in August of 2004. Characterized by towering walls of sound, oceanic guitar work, and vicious rhythmic elements, Caspian is a band that has gained widespread attention for the multi-dimensional emotionality of their recorded catalogue, a blistering live show and a commitment to national touring within the United States. After releasing their debut EP "You Are The Conductor" (Dopamine, 2005) to critical applause, the band spent most of 2006 touring The United States and Canada and writing their debut full-length record "The Four Trees" (Dopamine, 2007). "The Four Trees" was released in the U.S. on April 10 and in Japan on May 2. Caspian are currently touring in support of "The Four Trees" and have already begun writing their sophomore album due for release sometime in 2008.
