Set in the year 1839, the game casts the player in the role of Daniel, a young man from London, who awakens in the dark halls of the Prussian Brennenburg Castle with little to no memory about himself or his past. All he can remember is his name, that he lives in Mayfair and that something is hunting him. Shortly after awakening, Daniel discovers a note written to himself. His former self tells him that he deliberately erased his memory, and that he needs to descend into the Inner Sanctum of Brennenburg Castle to kill a man named Alexander...



Critics are hella good about this, looks like one of the scariest games ever. Anyone's tried it ? Is it any good ? I'm downloading it.

I've been playing for a couple of hours now and I won't lie, it's freaking awesome. Been playing it in the dark, with earphones, and I'm fucking terrified, I love that shit haha.

I don't think my heart could take it. I remember playing the first condemned game and having to shut it off after 15 minutes everytime cause i got so tense. That is one of my fondest gaming memories though.

it's an awesome game. I haven't played to the end yet, but so far I don't think it's as scary as people give it credit for. but I guess that might change.

Honestly, I'm not easily scared. And here... fuck, each step is a torture haha. But maybe you're just a tough guy, or I'm a pussy without knowing it.

haha, might be. I have to admit though, I'm playing it with my girlfriend. I play, she sits next to me. I guess that might take some of the edge off. we always turn off the light and only play during the night though, but I guess sitting alone with headphones on does its thing as well.

that said, I'm not easily scared when it comes to games and movies. which really sucks since I used to love horror. nowadays I think most of it is pretty lame.

It does. Believe me. Try it alone, in the dark, with headphones. It enhances the experience like you have no idea. That's what it did to me, at least.

judge all you want. she's a gamer, just like me, but prefers letting me play this game in particular because she's easily scared. we play for an hour or so at a time, and last time we played was sometime last winter.

Finished. That was a fucking game. The ending, or should I say the endings since there are three possible ones, are pretty meh, though. I'll try the extension called " Justine " soon, I've heard it was ten times scarier.
