It definitely sounds odd when you play the drums by itself but it's the same. Here is a multi-track mix down of the layers. Obviously the mixing is off but if you play this and then play the studio release you'll hear they are the same.

Exactly. The mixing and mastering on any track is going to change it pretty significantly. Now that we have the stems I'm curious to see if anybody can do some cool remixes.
