I did a center channel extraction on my two favorite songs on Adrenaline.  I hope you all like it: https://soundcloud.com/invertme/fireal-fist

Maybe to get just the instrumentals or something I don't really get it either, I think the vocal remover on Audacity does a better job though theres slighlty more vocal artifacts left behind but the instrumentals don't go fuzzy like these.

For some songs it really exposes a lot of sound.  I wasn't going for instrumental but that's pretty much how it came out.  I was hoping somebody might enjoy it but if not, no big deal.  Won't post anymore.

There is a song that I would pay someone to make into an instrumental for me.

Just use the vocal remover on audacity it does a pretty good job, it's not hard to get a pretty good instrumental not like extracting vocals lol.

Good to see there are a few people out there that can appreciate this.  I do this with a lot of music so if you're interested you can check out my soundcloud page dedicated to the process @ https://soundcloud.com/invertme

I'm not an expert so I may be off on my terminologies but in essence what I do is I pull a track into an audio editor (I use adobe audition).  I then separate the right and left channels into their own mono channels.  So now I have a Left and a Right track.  I then take one of them and invert the audio frequencies using the 'invert' effect.  After that I export the audio of the left and right as multitracks and because I inverted one of the tracks it will use subtraction on the frequencies that cancel each other out.  For example, let's say we have a constant frequency of 100hz for 1 minute.  If I take that, duplicate it, and invert it, you get one track @ 100hz and another at -100hz.  When you combine them you should get complete silence.  So the reason you get sound removal or sound exposure is because I'm essentially subtracting sound from the track.  I plan on doing a video of this because a lot of people ask this question.

If you could do one with Teething, I would love to hear it.
