I'm a huge fan of photography. I love Richard Avedon, Man Ray, Cindy Sherman, George Hurell, etc.

As far as taking a good picture, well I guess that was something I never had talent for. occipudding and spitfire seem to have a knack for it.

Are you critizising photography?

no, photography was a great invention.

firstly it revolutioned historical documentation.

but most importantly "freed" the visual arts, because "artists" no longer had to depict reality (cause now they had cameras), and creativity has flowed since like never before...

i like looking at photographs and especially the ones that are posted here.

however, photoshop and digital manipulation can rot in hell :)
