Amazing band. I didn't like IRONY IS... and I just thought the band is awful. Few days ago I came across MISS MACHINE and I got totally crazy about the record. What do you guys think about the band? I know lot of people like them.
I like em. Got into them when Miss Machine came out. New record is pretty good too.
under the running board and calculating infinity are good as well. miss machine fuckig rocked, i really like the patton influence. i can't wait for the album to drop in 15 days
I already have Ire Works in my hands. Incredible album, contender for album of the year too...
i love this band. cant wait to hear the new record

i am new to this band. I like Milk Lizard and Black Bubblegum...the others are EXTREME!!!!!!!
YEAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! UAUUUUUUUURGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
they are getting better with every record it seems.
my favorite song of them is still panasonic youth though
I used to love Dillinger but I'm kind of sick of all this tech-metalcore. Irony Is a Dead Scene is still an awesome album, but that's mostly thanks to Patton. Miss Machine was one of my favorite albums a couple of years ago but now I can barely stand listening to it. if Dillinger just did their thing and we didn't have to see all these other crappy bands trying to be as innovative, technical and chaotic I'd still be fine with them... but like I said, I'm so sick of this whole genre right now.

ha thx bro!
I'm loving this band...
IRE WORKS IS AWESOME:) really nice... heavy but still very listenable ;)
agreed...
I never knew how popular DEP really was. Almost everyone I work in the kitchen with loves them.
i have checked out the new Dillinger ire works album, errm sure its good but no way better than 'miss machine' or anything else. The albums lacks of intensity, that madness like 'panasonic youth' had and in whole how miss machine was, there was quality state in it; epic, aggressiveness, intense, poppy parts, example: 'Setting Fire to Sleeping Giant' or 'Sunshine the Werewolf'.
Come on some one here must agree with what i'm trying to say?
Also what is that annoying effect over pretty much every song on the album? Its like crunchy noise? Its more noticeable when listening on the headphones.
Anyway i was really looking forward to this new album but it has not met my expectations, I remember one year ago, dillinger guitarist commented "we are writing such crazy riffs, even we as creators are struggling to catch up".
Of course every commercial reviewer will say its an amazing record, best of the year, best they have ever written, the most experimental album ever - Dillinger are big band these days, no one would slag them off, especially commercial media.
PS: sure i do like; Black Bubblegum (who doesn't!!!), Fix Your Face, Milk Lizard, Dead As History and Horse Hunter.
:-\
i havent bought ire works yet, but i previewed on myspace and i kinda agree w vadimo. it lacks the...awesomeness...of the last record. of course let me buy it and listen more then i'll prob be back on here strokin their johnson like everyone else ;D
yes
miss machine > ire works
but still i wouldnt call the album a disappointment or say its even boring.
its just hard to beat such a perfect record like miss machine which did set new standarts in the world of dillinger.
ire works is more... an expansion of their sound, without bringing much new stuff or style to their music. but its still a fucking great album.

you should really appreciate tracks like - when acting as a wave, when acting as a particle and sick on sunday!! those are really great connection between synthesizer's music and heavy riffs (amazing for me... cause I'm big fan of electronic music)
some tracks sounds like metal/heavy aphex twin :D
this album is more experimental. Miss Machine was HEAVY KILLER :) but of course great one :D
could someone please upload under the running board? thx in advance
Just got it and I really like it. Some of the songs remind of Calculating Infinity era stuff which is just great.
We can only wonder what would have been had Pennie been on the record.
Dillenger is one of the greatest bands eva! ;D
i got ire works the other day and my assessment is still miss machine>ire works
i'v got ire works, but not miss machine..yet
i ordered it in and it should be here in a few days
irony is a dead scene is awesome
prepare to be blown away
Ire Works and Miss Machine are two very different records. So much that I don't even feel like they can be compared. I enjoy both of them, but I feel like I enjoy them for entirely incomparable different reasons.
i just miss all the math Miss Machine had
Does Ire Works not have enough? Though it's not all mathy, I like the variety.
i just felt like ire works was a step back or sideways, not forward. the heavy songs, especially the first two just sound forced to me. like they were trying to appeal to people who liked their older works. i dont know if this actually the case but thats just my opinion. i would say it feels like ire works should have come out before miss machine. it seems to fit in the bands evolution better there. does that make sense?

I see it as them evolving and perhaps moving away from the mathy stuff.
It appears as if DEP will become one of those bands that branches out and experiments with various other genres like Deftones.

Dillinger should never stop making math metal CDs, they are one of the best bands at that.
i am loving this cd. The shorter and hard hard songs, not my favourite. but the others...are so much intense. So much variety. Really cool!
they've played in Poland just two months ago. I couldn't go to see them because of my job :( I read the article about the whole festival, cause they played the gig during METALMANIA festival, but most people booed them. I hope the play another gig some time in Poland again.

I absolutely love this band. Saw them live on Valentine's Day in Manchester and Ben just about hit me in in the head with his guitar hahah. Sweet fucking band and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to, plus I got like a quarter of a setlist. Would've got the whole thing, but during the last song [Sunshine The Werewolf], Ben dragged one of his cabs to the middle of the stage and spent most of his time on top of it... and it fell onto Greg's setlist, hence I could only grab part of it after the show :P
Ire Works is definitely in my top 3 albums of last year. Horse Hunter is probably my favourite track :]

I think Ire Works is a perfect album. Truly their best to date.
The two last songs on the album...EPIC.
so the band got a new drummer, a 23 years old kid noone has ever heard of who plays through the dillinger-songs like he has never been doing anything else.
how cool is that?

definitely awesome. and definitely Ire Works is one of my favorite albums ever, honestly.
and Theis, i'm gonna to Milk Lizard. that and EVERYTHING after that is epic!
Dillinger is EPIC!
Irony is a Dead Scene+Miss Machine+Ire Works = AWESOMENES*EPIC!
Can't wait till their new album drops, any news on that?
i never really enjoyed DEP before. I had just listened to various songs on youtube, but today i found Ire Works on sale in my local music store, so i though what the hell. Can't be that bad. And it sure as hell wasn't. I've been listening to it in the car all day. Really interesting.
Good to hear! I love Ire Works for its diversity. it's practically every genre packed into one album.
Btw, that's Brent from Mastodon singing at the end of 'Horse Hunter'. Love that part.
Do any of you have a good sounding copy of Ire Works on your computer, cause my cd-rip sounds like shit.

They just keep saying sometime in 2009, though I'd be very, very surprised to hear anything new by them this year, judging by their track record. And I don't mean that to be shitty, just that problems always seem to plague these guys.
Anyhoo, FUCK I LOVE THIS BAND. One of my favourites for sure.

Wow man.. that looks amazing!! I can't wait for that EP.. also i would like to have a t-shirt of 'em..
I look forward to the new EP aswell.
The past few days I've been listening to nothing but DEP. This is an amazing band, and I'm really, really enjoying "Ire Works" atm. Such a perfect record, that just seems so complete.

Agreed 100%.
I also have been listening a lot of DEP, just before going to the Radiohead show... now I listen both DEP and Radiohead a whole lot!! I'm goin' crazy with those two bands!
:D :D
I picked up 10 DEP 'Miss Machine' stickers today at the Record Store
Does anyone have a any newer live concerts with these guys? I mean, like a good quality download?
Me, I don't... but that would be awesome if someone has something good from them..
QuoteIt has been killing us not to reveal anything sooner, but we can now announce it: the whole Season of Mist staff is really proud and happy to welcome THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN to the roster! It is an honour for the label to have such an originally talented band on board. DEP's fourth studio album - whose title will be revealed in a few weeks - is due early 2010.
QuoteBen recently spoke to U.K.'s Rock Sound magazine about the progress of the songwriting sessions: "The new songs sound dark and evil," he stated. "Very early '90s thrash-influenced.

It was to make people truly uncomfortable and to make them not feel accepting of what is happening in their surroundings. But then it just got ridiculous, humourous. I look at black metal bands and they are supposed to be so evil. But it's not real. It's about fiction. About goblins and the gates of hell; pretty much a bad horror movie.

Cover looks great. And I too am excited and looking forward to hearing this new beast.
I really expected this band to get shittier as they kept losing long-term band members such as Chris Pennie but the exact opposite has happened. I really don't think this band has been better. I feel like adding more melodic elements to their music, on top of the electronic bits, have this band that much more original.
Like many others here, this is one of my most anticipated releases of 2010.
This band is like fine wine. Just keeps getting better.
awesome cover!

HOLY MOTHERFUCKING SHIT, I am excited!!!
am I the only one who think all their stuff is starting to sound the same? I mean, how many times have they used the chaos/soft-melodic-part/chaos formula now?
yeah, i'm not ultra fond of them at the moment. Can't say i'm looking much forward to this release, i still enjoy ire works though.
If you enjoyed Ire Works, why not look forward to this? I mean I dont know, you might not hold Ire Works in high regard like I do (best album of 2007), but if you like a band or the last album by that band, normally you're pretty stoked for a new release.
it's just that i've listened to ire works enough to really enjoy it. It's like how i'm not at all stoked about the next deftones album. I still love most of their albums, because i listened the fuck out of them.
I lost interest after Miss Machine had been out for a while already. I listened so much to that album, and even more to the EP with Patton (which got me into them) and after a while I guess I just grew a bit tired of their sound. when Ire Works was released I took a listen and felt like it was pretty much Miss Machine mark II and never bothered to get into it. and every bit I heard in the teaser video above felt like same old typical DEP.
they're still amazing at what they do, I guess I just don't appreciate it enough anymore. I saw them live on the Ire Works tour btw and it was really good, as usual.
Damn, I think Miss Machine and Ire Works are vastly different. While Miss Machine was a non-stop audio onslaught, Ire Works had a lot of progressive and melodic parts. Their jazz and electro influences also shined a lot more on Ire Works.
I love the direction they're going in and reading the first review of Option Paralysis definitely got me twice as stoked. It sounds like it's gonna be fantastic.

I'm waiting until the record is in my hands. I've only listened to Farewell, Mona Lisa and I want to keep it that way until I listen to it all the way through. It sounds like this one is pretty good though

true, that new Daughters is pretty good as well, but it's too bad I downloaded it only like 2 days before Option Paralysis. Now this is all that's going to be playing for the near future.

Man, Good Neighbor is just mindblowing. "SUICIIIIIDE!"
I think I've listened to Option Paralysis 15 times since yesterday, haha. This is addicting.
Flawless album.
question is, however, is it a better overall album than Diamond Eyes?
Haha damn, that's almost impossible to answer. They're both such vastly different albums.
But for a creative standpoint and overall "holy fucking shit" factor, then yes, I'd say it's a better album than Diamond Eyes.
i'll agree with you on that. i know i'm going to keep coming back to both these albums for the rest of the year, and everything else will have to be compared to OP and DE as they are probably 1-2 right now for albums of the year.
i'm just really glad that both of them lived up to the hype we were giving them.
Im checking this out. The last thing I checked from this band was Ire Works from 2007. Dont remember that I wouldve liked it. Hoping for the best!
Just picked this up and I'm just finishing up my first listen. So far it sounds pretty good. To be honest there doesn't seem to be as much overall experimentation as Ire Works, but what's here is pretty good. It's a lot more of typical DEP than I thought it would be. But still, that's a good thing.
Top Three Songs (First Run Through):
Farewell, Mona Lisa
Room Full of Eyes
Widower
speaking of Ire Works, here's my list of best DEP full-length albums
1. Ire Works
2. Option Paralysis
3. Miss Machine
4. Calculating Infinity
Okay, I checked out Option Paralysis. Didnt take long as cant get into it at all. Too bad for me, Im losing out probably.
I'll check it again after a couple of years.
that sucks, cuz if you can't get into this album with that opening track, i don't know what else to say.
Yeah, but you gotta remember that for me Fall Of Troy was too screamy just a couple of years ago. Haha, its true too!
Listening to the first track again now, umm, what can I say, I dont really like the screams, dont really care for the clear vocals either. The music is fine but it all just sound vocalwise/melodywise so plain... dont know, I just cant get anything out of it, I even find the drums boring in their technical amazingness.
There are better singing vocals on the album. Mona Lisa is the worst song on the album IMO.
Which 2 songs would you suggest me to check out Starz? I will make an exception and not judge the CD by its first 20 minutes.
Check out Parasitic twins. Just finished it for the second time and it's pretty damn good. Also, I just found out Dimitri Minakakis did the artwork for their latest album. So cool that they still keep him a part of the band.
Listened Parasitic Twins a few times through, it was quite good actually. Also listened to the last piece which was good as well.
I shall give these guys another try already later this week.
Thanks for the recommendation!

Good Neighbor is seriously becoming my favorite DEP track. Audio assault to the max!
the new album is great. there is so much stuff going on, i will need much more spins to fully get the whole thing. so far they have been progressing their sound with each new record, every time getting better.

that really sums up how I feel about the band in general. they've created some of the best melodies of the last decade with their last 3 albums.
Yeah. Honestly if they drop most of the kinetic, technical mathcore stuff and just go on making their genre of music, I'd be okay with it. It might be cliche but honestly this band sounds like nothing else.

Time to give a final judgement of the new album and DEP overall. A couple of good songs per album, a few good parts here and there, but that just doesnt cut it for me. Will give them another chance in 2 years.
I still rank Ire Works as number 1 for them. and maybe Miss Machine at 2, then Option Paralysis. I do love this album, but MM and IW were both up to legendary status for me before this one was released.
Hey guys,
We had a guest musician write a review for the new Option Paralysis album. Let us know what you think!
CD Review: the Dillinger Escape Plan ~ Option Paralysis (http://www.offthedial.ca/?p=6624)
Saw them live last night. Holy fuck, it was awesome.
I was right up in the front. Greg jumped down the stage during the breakdown in "Sunshine the Werewolf" and came straight over to were I was standing, got up on the rail and pulled my head towards the mic so I could scream along with him. Haha, it was so rad. He's a fucking cool dude.
that's awesome man. the one time i saw them, he did some of that as well. i love when do lead singers get into the crowd.
what i don't get is why everyone thinks they are just a bunch assholes in DEP.
I don't get the whole asshole thing either. They were all super cool and you could tell they were stoked to play in front of us.
When the show was over ALL of the members came down from the stage and hugged and high fived the people in the front of the crowd. Assholes wouldn't do that.
Also, Greg came out on the stage again and stated how much he appreciated us. They seem like really sincere, good dudes.
regardless, you're a lucky bastard for getting so close. did they play all newer material, or a good mix?
It was a pretty good mix.
Here are the songs I can remember: Panasonic Youth, Fix Your Face, Lurch, 43% Burnt, Milk Lizard, Black Bubblegum, When Good Dogs Do Bad Things (INCREDIBLE!!!), Sunshine the Werewolf, Baby's First Coffin, Room Full of Eyes, Chinese Whispers, Good Neighbor and Farewell Mona Lisa.
that's incredible. but then again they could play Milk Lizard for about an hour straight, and that would make me happy.
Found a clip from Copenhell.
24 sec of Black Bubblegum.
The Dillinger Escape Plan - Black Bubblegum (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfi4iMnjqyU#ws)
Short, but awesome nonetheless. :)
From Greg's Twitter: "DEP fans/friends....fuck that...FAMILY... first half of 2011 is shaping up to be a real mother fucker....get psyched....you'll see."
Hmm, thoughts?
god i hope it's a new album. or maybe mike patton is being added as a second vocalist?

These guys really need to make a proper live DVD.
True dat.
PULLLL OUT YOUR EYES AND STAAAAAARE!!!
It's weird, I always get heavily into DEP during the summer.
Been listening to them a lot lately...especially while working out. Really gets you pumped.
It's almost a year ago I saw them live. Still one of the best live shows I've ever experienced. I'll never forget when Greg got down from the stage and pulled my head towards his mic so I could scream along, with him, in the breakdown in "Sunshine the Werewolf".
"DEEESTROOOYYYEEEERRRR!!
you got that right about DEP. they are amazing at pumping me too. I wonder if Greg listens to himself when he works out?
And I just had to go listen to "Sunshine" again. Great song. the DESTROYER part is the best. I always break out my air drums when I hear that part with the cymbal crash on every upbeat.
yeah ive been on a big DEP kick for about 2 months now. Gotta love it.

QuoteThe Dillinger Escape Plan are promising a special guest for their June 13th Performance at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco, CA. Band guitarist Benjamin Weinman offered the following on the groups Facebook on that:
"This just in... Special Guest in San Fran. Should be interesting -Ben W"
A hint was seemingly dropped on Weinman's Twitter regarding that as well yesterday:
"King for a day.... fool for a lifetime. We r on early today Mesa so don't be late."
The news has led many to believe that the group will be joined by none other than Mike Patton of Faith No More, etc. fame, who the group most famously paired up with for their 2002 EP, "Irony Is A Dead Scene".

Really?
They're one of the best bands I've seen live.
Really :/ I don't know what it was. I do listen to them quite a bit, but it just didn't work live for me. It wasn't the bands fault, they were going at it like psycho's, especially Ben and Greg, they were in the crowd quite a bit. Most of the crowd was only there to see Mastodon you could tell. I think it might have been the sound or something

Jeff Tuttle leaves The Dillinger Escape Plan: QuoteTo the fans of Dillinger, and to the multitude of people I've met, kicked, guitar-smashed, face riffed, or otherwise touched, I'm writing this to formally announce that as of today I will be taking my departure from The Dillinger Escape Plan. The years I've spent with this band have been some of the greatest in my life. I've seen and done so many things I never thought possible and I will forever be grateful to these memories and to the band that made them possible. I'd like to thank everyone who has given me support and encouragement along the way and to express all the gratitude that fills my bones. Dillinger is a beast that cannot be contained and I have no doubts that the band will continue on the road of destruction. I wish them nothing but the best in the years to come.
Music is in my blood and I will continue making it with Old Gods and my solo effort, Malo Konjche. I will also be taking the opportunity to study film and film production in the fall; something I've been deeply passionate about for many years.
Life may lead me back to the Dillinger fold in the future, but for now I've decided to pursue these creative paths. The past six years have been amazing and I'm lucky to have made it out alive. I'll never forget the time we shared on stage... the scars won't let me.
-Jeff

Sooo excited to hear to whole album.
That bit at 2:22 is amazing. When that sound comes in alongside the video.... horror movie soundtrack right into that intro again. Brilliant.
Meh, DEP is starting to sound like a parody of themselves. They are incredibly skillful musicians and the songs are not bad, but there's really no innovation here. They stick to the same concept as Miss Machine and it's honestly starting to bore me.

I like this track, but I do also agree with you on this Jacob. On the other hand there are lots of bands i love that still sound like they did a long time ago, i think maybe it's just us not being the biggest Dillinger fans in the first place (Speaking for myself atleast). Not exactly stoked for the new album, but hopefully it will surprise me.

I don't agree here.
Prancer and When I Lost My Bet both have Dillinger's trademark stuff, but they also bring new things to the table. Also, judging from the album preview it definitely sounds like they're treading new ground.

Crossburner is just phenominal
this fucking terrible scene kid band is not worth a review. their music is generic mathcore/math metal mix with heavy metal/hardcore , the kind of music hot topic fan boys get wet over. their stupid fans say their music is hardcore. this is not hardcore, because it sounds nothing like the dead kennedys or minor threat, but are still shitty as them. their stupid fans wear those overly colorful t shirts, but it just makes you look like a wigger. the music is extremely generic, just shitty gutteral vocals with repetitive drumming and palm muted guitars in drop D. the only difference is the unecessary clean vocals. they are just as poppy sounding as the jonas brothers or justin bieber. way to go a gay to remember fans. you think you're so counter culture, but your favorite band is just as mainstream and accesible to 13 year old boys and 16 year old girls as lil waynes music. this band sucks

LOL! Troll? Since when is Dillinger a scene kid band? This sounds like you're talking about Attack Attack or something. Also, Dillinger has never tuned down their guitars to even drop D and I've never seen them wear or even sell merch that is super colorful like you described. I know this might be a troll, but if it's not, at least until the Bieber and Jonas Bros part, I can actually get why you'd think they're some scene kid band initially, because before I even listened to them I always dismissed them as shit because I saw their shit in Hot Topic, and HT doesn't exactly have a record of having non-shit music outside of a few bands, it's always very flavor-of-the-week type shit. Thankfully one of my best friends showed me the light a few years ago and I fell in love with DEP's music.
I don't think anyone really claims DEP's music is hardcore, as far as I've heard people only call them metal or mathcore, although honestly they do remind me of the old hardcore scene in the way that they truly don't give a fuck, and the way they can interact with a crowd and make the crowd move really is reminiscent of hardcore punk back in the day. This isn't Pierce The Veil type shit that they claim is hardcore, this is some shit with balls.
But 'a gay to remember' and comparing something to Justin Bieber and Jonas Bros? You're really not trying, are you?

Even my dad says they are very dinamic. I'll probably buy him a copy along mine this week :D
IMO is like Miss Machine part 2 which is fucking awesome.
I like this album alot they seem to have crafted their songs better on this album I like the dynamics. I think once they learn how to capture the raw energy of songs like "when I lost my bet" into a more well crafted song then their albums will be go from good to amazing though because at some points the instrumentals still sound disjointed and Ben resorts to short fast strums too many times instead of using riffs that could make the song even heavier whilst adding some rhythm.
The "slow" songs on this album are the best slow songs they've written to date.
I've been listening to the album about 10 times now. Not even remotely tired of it.
Best DEP album. Album of the year...hard to imagine anything else topping it.
Seems like everyday I hear something new in a song on this album and it becomes my favorite. There have been like 6 songs on here that I've called my favorite on the album. Today it's The Threat Posed By Nuclear Weapons.

Enjoy and leave your opinions on this single and upcoming release!
Thanks !!
So brutal, I love it. But I expect so much more from them.
They're going to disband after the new album cycle. This can't possibly be happening :'(
Seriously ? No fucking way !

yeah, that was completely out of nowhere
Such a bummer, but I respect their decision. At least they're bowing out with grace. I just hope I get to see them live one last time.
Can't wait to hear Dissociation!
I hope I'm right but I heard that Ben called the disbanding thing just a long hiatus, I really hope it is that way.
I can't wait for the bundles of the new album and see them live next week 10 minutes from a walk from home :)

I hope the same.
First time I've seen them live was at the Knotfest last year here in Mexico, and would be sad to be the 1st and last time :(

Random: I think my favorite album is Option Paralysis. Gave it a listen for the first time in a while today while I was being a bro at the gym, and just christ, just top to bottom, every song is pure brilliance. Gold Teeth, Mona Lisa, and Parasitic Twins are all-timers, but I might go as far to say that Widower could be my favorite song out their entire catalog. Some dark jazz in there, that piano is awesome, and is that a goddamn baritone sax near the end in the last chorus?

Don't forget Mouth Of Ghosts ;) By the way, pre order bundles are available on their website.
The ending solo on Parasitic Twins is just magic.
Totally. Great album ender. Hell, even the 2 bonus tracks are awesome, and when complemented with Parasitic Twins are incredible ways to end the album.

Not long hiatus, it is really a break-up :/ :(
Love this frickin band. <3
While it's sad they're breaking up I can appreciate their decision, especially after what Greg said in the video.
Damn, those were true words but... let's see what 2017 has to show in the DEP world.
So I was listening to this CoL song on YouTube (Beyond the Redshift (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5Bagk8ig7w)) from Mariner and on the recommended videos, there were some of Julie Christmas, Battle of Mice and Made Out of Babies (For those who doesn't know, Mariner is the last album of Cult of Luna with Julie's collaboration).
So I decided to check her and her projects (Battle of... and Made out...) and reading more about her, found out that she was the female voice on Spylacopa, the project where also Greg took part on their selftitled EP from 2008.
They released a full LP past 2015 called Parallels, this time not featuring Greg but only Julie, and a new album this 2016 called Demon John, but this time with no guests.
Anyway, in case you're interested, here you can download (https://www.google.com.mx/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwid_8TOkfTOAhWB6SYKHTj1ABIQFggxMAE&url=https%3A%2F%2Fvk.com%2Fdoc-22415516_380055502%3Fdl%3D7cdb93ded322f2c7f7&usg=AFQjCNFT9QPmRgnZp0soSLOBIs6iD1rFHw&sig2=q9kLsuQWFwSFYH2FK-P-pg) Spylacopa's Parallels.
I second that recommendation. had no idea another album was coming this year though. great news, even without Greg in the band.
There was a new song premiered on the 14th but they replaced it with Limerent Death, I dunno why.
Here is the good news, I ripped the song so here it is Symptom Of Terminal Illness at 320kbs

Enjoy these new and sadly last sounds from this amazing band :(
The guys posted Symptom Of Terminal Illness on youtube now
https://youtu.be/yztG35U5Hrw
been on repeat for 2 days, really enjoying this one.
Sounds good, sure it'll grow a lot later.
Greg's singing is pretty impressive. Could have been a little catchier for my taste, though.
The new album didn't leak yet but what you guys can do is take clips posted on their FB page to Shazam and you will the the name of the songs, plus 30 extra secs of each song on Google Play. Can't really wait for my pre-order
Greg is a fucking amazing singer.

Yet you comment? Way to go being a dumb fucking prick, congrats you noob.
Never really given this band the proper chance.. I did see them open for the tones 4 or 5 years back.. I'm gonna check their new record and give them a shot. Seems like they really are talented guys!
Greg's performance in this album is out of this world. He sounds like his life depended on it. Batshit, pissed off and nothing to lose.
I love this album.
Surrogate
Honeysuckle
Manufacturing Discontent
Deadly trio. DEP have never sounded so intense as in these three songs.
And here I am leaning more towards the trio of songs right after those. Some of their best work is on this album, just not sure if I can call it my favorite DEP album.
The final song has been on a never-ending loop for me. Such a beautiful song. I know it's mostly about the end of DEP, but it feels like it's describing what my life has been like for the past year.

It really is a dark song. I love it. And it fits for them, knowing that this was their last album.

I don't think I can choose a favorite DEP album. I love them all equally.
One things for sure though, this is a damn perfect way to end.
EDIT: The breakdown in 'Honeysuckle' is gonna kill live (litterally)
i couldnt believe my eyes when i recognized him on stage

Ha ! That was in Hong Kong !!!!
For once that something interesting happens here...............
And I wasn't there to witness it
Cockenflap. don't you just hate it when that happens?
Mike Patton will join DEP for their last 3 shows in NYC. Lucky bastards. I'd give my left nut to see that.

I think it's only on the 27th.
Still, fuck them for that because I'm pretty sure it's ALREADY sold out and the prices are like a fuckin 100 bucks a ticket anyway .
So sad :(
They are on the stage already and someone was streaming it through a cellphone.
I went to the show on 12/29 and I'm still not over how great it was. Bittersweet and emotional at the end as well as they brought out a string section and closed with Dissociation. Unbelievable
Anyone have audio links for their 2010 and 2016 BBC sessions?
