hmm... i dunno about going to other countries.. i flew to london from sweden to see them in london mars 20/ 2007 in carling academy, brixton
(what a shithole of london) .. but once i got there,there was a sign on the door "cancelled due to singer throat problems" i got very upset.started yelling "oh really ?! sucked to much dick or what?!" but in swedish so the people around didnt understand. so i had to fly home and book another flight til april when the new concert was and fly there again.totally worht it in the end of course - it was a killer concert but it was real expensive
i wonder if anyone in the audience will smoke weed at the holland show
i bet if u stand 20 meters away from the stage u cant even see the band cause of the smoke.yepp thats how they do it in holland

nah not yet I think that Paradiso.nl will go on pre order next month they have actual month + the following 3 so it´s April/May/June/July right now on May they probably start selling.
Ticketmaster.nl didn´t helped me finding some right now so I asume it´ll start next month

Good question. I don´t think it changed very recently, but that said, it´s still a weird construction.
And eventhough I live in The Netherlands, I still don´t fully get the whole law thing.
You're not allowed to smoke cigarettes in public places. And as long as your weed 'doesn't' ;) have any tobacco in it, then I think all is ok. But I could be wrong...

Correct, in all public places (now including bars) it is not allowed to smoke at all.
However, as the Dutch are, you can still find a lot of bars that aren´t smoke free and found ways to dodge the law.
The law is meant that employees of such a place should´t be in smoke filled areas and that bars and restaurants should build a smoke area. Some bars made moved the actual bar to the cloackroom and transformed the whole area in one gigantic smoke area. You just have to pick up your own drink. So funny.

You can order the ticket with the membership, you just have to
check the box "include membership".
Also you can always get it at the door, though it might cost you a decent spot up front.

It was amazing. The played for 2 hours straight. Great setlist. No new songs but that's kinda what we expected. I shot a snippet of almost every song. The video quality is absolutly great with great shots of every band memeber but the audio is kinda poor. If anyone has this show in audio please let me know so I can mix this audio with my footage. Chino's girlfriend was standing next to me in the end, filming with her celphone.

They were tight, happy (Chino was making cracks at Abe). Until Change was played tho, Chino asked a roadie 3 times to get his mic up to par. The tech guy didn't understand. Chino grabbed the wireless Shure and SMACKED it with all his power... he then grabbed his regular Shure and put that one in that stand and continued to play.

The response from the crowd caught them off guard man. People were so fucking loud, i've never seen something like it. They were loving the response as well. Nice thing, during the quiet parts people started to cheer but after a few times people were quiet (like the minerva interlude).. which was nice.. people were being very neat and polite. :)

Im back home from my trip to Amsterdam. (always having a good time there)
Last week I saw deftones at pukkelpop and really enjoyed the gig. They seemed to be in a good mood, nice setlists so It promised to be a good indoor venue show in Amsterdam.
I was hoping for a special event like the setlist of an entire album (like the last luxemburg show) but instead we got about 25 tracks what I call 'best off' :-).
The venue 'Paradiso' is great, one of Hollands bests and always a pleasure to be there. The doors opened 2 houres on forehand at 18u30 and the show started at 20.30
(too bad Rival Schools played a day back in this venue, fans in UK are more lucky since Rival Schools is opening for Deftones tonight) so no opener was planned.
The beer price is rather 'OK' at the venue (compared to other places in Amsterdam) so the binge drinking started :D. Once lousy detail ; the music played before the show was way too loud, was this really necessary?
So about the show... Just like Pukkelpop they were in a great shape, Chino seemed happy (must have been the pot smoking activity in Amsterdam)
This was my 16th Deftones concert and compared to other shows it was rather a good show BUT BUT BUT I really missed some special moments , goosebumps moments...
It was Deftones.. a good professional show with fantastic music but too bad nothing unforgettable happened (or is it me getting old?)
Compared to the 2006 tour it seems like the band is more enjoying touring.
During the show there were some technical mic problems but lucky enough they didnt harm the expercience for the public.
The new bass player did a good show but I missed Chi, his screams and certainly his mothefucking headbanging !
It was good to see that a lot of the crewmembers (Linus, Juan.. etc) are still with the band. The only one missing was BOB (the big guy) did you guys see him?
So now Im already preparing for my next and last part of this tour with Deftones. I will be attending the cabaret vert festival in France.
I still dont understand why they dont play Paris, this must be the first time in Deftones european tour history :-)
To the guys in London tonight... get ready for some good times tonight :)

I agree with you. It was awesome for sure. But back in the day they would 'improvice' some encore with covers or something like that. Now we did get some 'special' songs like Lhabia, Rickets, Needles and Pins and One Weak (they don't play those a lot) but I really missed some weirder songs. We all know now they won't play new songs (so no songs will be on youtube before the album is out) so we don't need to even go there.
They seemed to have more fun now than the last tour for sure! Have fun in London to those who will attend.

I didnt expect any new songs and didnt feel the need to it. The whole Eros process must be really emotional for them. If you noticed the crowd didnt really asked for new songs (back in the days we did it the whole time)

i just got back from amsterdam and i had a great time. it was my first deftones show but i think they played really well. chinos voice was good and they played a lot of cool songs. the best part of my trip was meeting chino in a coffee shop a day before the concert. i took a couple pics with him and had a short conversation. he said the new album should be out in november, i hope this is true.

Last week I went to all my photos (from 1998 till now) and that brought back a lot of good souvenirs. Me being drunk, me in a strange new city, me in lousy hotels, me with my highschool friends, all the people I met etc etc...
I realised that going to deftones has become a ritual, a tradition but all this is temporary. That made me sad watching those photographs, but thank go I had a time of my life :)
So, I'm finally done uploading all my videos so here they are. It's almost a piece of every song the played in Amsterdam (except Feiticeira). I know the sound isn't too good but most videos are awesome to watch with a lot of detail and close-ups. I started to edit some videos. Review:After seeing a great set on Pukkelpop, were I went to watch Deftones, Rival Schools, Them Crooked Vultures and Faith No More, I drove to Paradiso with my brother and 2 friends again to see Deftones for the 4th time in Paradiso. When we arrived Stef was chilling at the back of the venue just hanging out by himself with the view of a canal. Doors opened at 18:30 and we came in on 19:30. Linus and Juan, who are now permanent Deftones roadcrew where there too. Deftones came on at 20:30. Starting out with Feiticeira just like at Pukkelpop it was sure they were on fire.
Sergio Vega, who filled in for Chi was having a lot of fun playing and was smiling all the time, and so did Abe. I do still miss Chi and apart from the playing I really missed out his screams. Chino did most of those parts this time and Chino's voice was better than it has been in a long time. It was nice to hear Lhabia, Rickets and One Weak which they didn't play very often in the recent past.
I was really close Sergio and could watch Abe's playing very good which was great. I show a few video's of the band and made a lot of Abe close-ups, just to see him play is awesome. One of my favorite drummers.
During Change Chino was bitching about his mic sound and wanted his roadie to replace the wireless one he was using in a micstand for his other one. He was giving the roadie all kinds of signs will playing to change te damn thing. For some reason the guy didn't understand or just didn't do anything about it which made Chino a little pissed. So while playing Chino grapped his wireless microphone, smacked it on the ground very hard and put his normal one on the micstand. It luckily didn't change his mood too much. The band was still having a good time as we could tell.
During the break of BQAD Stef was watching Chino like he was asking: 'Finish this song (the BQAD outro) or into the next one to which Chino nodded: the second option which made Stef start Headup. Headup is still the crowd pleaser.
Chino's girlfriend was always in the room watching the band from the side of the stage and later filming them on her cellphone standing next to me.
It was an awesome show, one of the better I've seen of them lately. I saw them 19 times after this evening staring out from 1997 when they first played Amsterdam.

Last week I went to all my photos (from 1998 till now) and that brought back a lot of good souvenirs. Me being drunk, me in a strange new city, me in lousy hotels, me with my highschool friends, all the people I met etc etc...
I realised that going to deftones has become a ritual, a tradition but all this is temporary. That made me sad watching those photographs, but thank go I had a time of my life :)

Het is niet dat die journalist kon kiezen of hij een recensie plaatst of niet, hé. Hij moest er materiaal opzetten. Dus maakte hij er maar een leuk tekstje van. Niets mis mee.
