I actually enjoyed that... Good job dude...
just listened to the first song. liked it.
I'm at the second one now, digging it even more.

is anyone interested of the bootleg of our last show?
the quality is bearable, though it is best to listen through the headphones.
some minimalistic stuff, two guitars, bass, sax/cello and some samples.
so, if anyone is interested I could upload it.
Hey man that is nicely done! the footage corresponds well with the mood of slow attack. where do you get them?
Also had a chance to listen to Picturesque last night, quite soothing!
anyway, keep up the beautiful sounds! ;)
I see. i understand that slow attack and picturesque are two different things?
shameless promotion of my own new stuff.

I write to remember is a reference to Wolverine's last dialog in the film, isn't it bro? "do you drink to forget? _I drink to remember". I had a quick snapshot on your tunes, they seemed quite groove for me, but I want to hear them in more deepness to have an opinion. For now I'll just say It's perfect music to read.
dissect a trillion sighs away
will you get this letter
jagged pulp sliced in my veins
i write to remember
'cause i'm a million miles away
will you get this letter
jagged pulp sliced in my veins
i write to remember...
Darius, please reupload Deconstruct, I'm downloading your entire discography and this one is missing.
why dont you add some lyrics
also i hate birds :)
why dont you add some lyrics
some pople just dont get...also i hate birds :)
dude youre insane. how can you not like birds?
i would never trust you
strange lights and ornaments is like the greatest thing ive heard.
im seriously smitten by that album
damn. i downloaded it. but i can't open the folder, says it's invalid.
I could hear the first song and Happiness is just a word. Truly amazing darius, you did it again. You have some magic attached when it comes to choosing the names for the songs, by the way.
loving that cover :)
I downloaded and liked it, but I still like what I heard on dreams III better. It may be for the chord progression or the sound. Loved the role of the drumkit, though. Maybe with a second heard I'll understand the song better.
loving that cover :)
yeah, I absolutely love it!
my brother is living in Ireland.
the cover.. I am having a lot of problem with that. No matter how much do I love the picture, I think I will not be able to use it for the release cover. Because I have no idea whose it is. I was trying to go through with "not intended for profit, all rights belong to the respective authors", but the head of my label told me he will not be able to release the album if I do not get the permission.
And I have no leads on whose this picture is; just found it on a random myspace; the owner of that myspace told me he used this picture for years now and had no idea whose it is. sucks.
OWL-071 the Picturesque Episodes - Dreams III
The third installment of the Dreams project is the height of Darius Gerulis' work as the Picturesque Episodes. Continuing the themes of its prequels, the album is warmly ambient with myriad sparkling artifacts and textures that keep the listener engaged. The crumpled guitar textures in the third track, épisode I: Le Petit Prince are vaguely reminiscent of Steven R. Smith, however the evolution of the piece is highly unique and exhibits profound evidence of Gerulis' strength as a composer. Dreams III leaves behind an astounding expectation of things to come. This is not a release to be missed.

OWL-053 the Picturesque Episodes - Dreams II
The second installment in the Picturesque Episodes' Dreams series features twelve tracks of remarkably soothing ambiance with titles such as "March of the Moths" and "I Keep Dreaming Places I've Never Been." A wonderful follow-up to the fantastic Dreams.

OWL-050 the Picturesque Episodes - Dreams
Gorgeous organic ambiance. Go to the park on the sunniest day this summer and take a nap in the grass with these sounds piping through your headphones. Trust me.

Thirst is a new direction of yours, nice spin to your style. I do love this one to death.
I listened all the way through it, and i found most of it to be very interesting. I like the "heavier" and more dense parts. The highlight for me was the first track. I'm still not too fond of the programmed drums, though i guess it makes the whole progress easier for you.most definitely yes (about the drums).
I'm super stoked about this album.me too! haha
have you heard Songs of the Nightingales?
a video to "Endless Blooms". requires patience.

saw this on fb, incredible. your music makes me happy
but i really liked those early "Dreams"
i downloaded constellations to start with. very much digging it so far. i'm impressed. i knew you made a shit ton of music but i didn't know it was this good.
but i really liked those early "Dreams"
really good, once again. and nice album artwork. actually, how do you get your album art? is it your photography, someone else's or what?
can't fucking wait to hear the whole album
whaaaaa?!??! early winter?? don't give me that smiley face when you bring bad news! hahacan't fucking wait to hear the whole album
these are the demos of the first tracks anyway, basically there will be some more vocals, cleasing, mix and mastering changes etc, but structurally and emotionally - that's what is here.
some other tracks will be quite different altogether.
01. the Endless Blooms
02. the Majestic Eternal Night
03. the Still Silent Years (Hydrocodone)
04. the Darkest Swan
05. the Ghosts (死霊)
06. the Time Addict's Looking Glass
07. the Sadness Within the Rose
08. the Pilot (Has Been Utterly Changed into Fire)
09. the High Star
10. the End (Floating in Space Endlessly)
basically, tracks 4, 5 and 10 will contain something I have never done before. I am looking forward to completing all of this, but the release date is pushed back towards late autumn or even winter.. :)
just noise, mi amigo, noise
my first thoughts are to not really call it drone. in my opinion it's kind of more ambient or maybe even post-rock-ish. mostly because it's more interesting than the normal drone i hear.
but i'm definitely digging this a lot :)
just noise, mi amigo, noise
of the most handsome sort
the facebook- postrock group just linked to a song of you. awesome :D
are you involved in this group?

note: tracks 8, 9 and 10 are additional conceptual material (it's a darker and heavier ending of the story in the album, call it an alternative ending).
Darius, just wanted to say that this album is my favourite from you among dreams III. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Silk spaceport has a really focused and solid identity. Loved the first track, in fact it's the first song I listened to when I was informed that my brother was going to be father and captured that feeling of early christmas really well for me.
Fella, I'd love you to collaborate on a track of my band's LP. It's a piece similar to Thrice's Nightdiving and your atmospherics should mesh well with the rest. As soon as I have a demo i'm sending it to you.
Wow, just how long is this album?!
I wish I had your motivation. You seem to get a lot of shit done.
Thank you, Darius! You're new music is always appreciated here.
Honestly, I wasn't feeling this at first, mainly because I'm not the BIGGEST drone fan around. But most of this seems more atmospheric and, as you said, abstract, which I enjoy. Journey... and Sleeping in the Immortal Forest I didn't really care for, just don't seem like my cup of tea upon first listen. Then the Drifting Monolith came on, and I loved that haunting feeling of it. For me, it was an album changer. The last half is so good! Will give another complete spin this afternoon!
Question about Endless Blooms... I have a demo track called the Majestic Eternal Night. Is that renamed to the Eternal Nightmare? Random, I know, just been organizing my digital music library lately.
you know Darius, it's kind of sad for some of us since for example I don't have the ability (In argenitna it's really complex to do it, actually) to use internet money. Still I respect your choice, you have my blessings.
how you record all this in one take is beyond me.
Oh, I could get you a ruff demo of the song we are creating that I'd like you to collaborate. take a listen, i'm sure you'll connect to it.

I listened to the song, and I believe that we can make a very very nice and a very long song from this.
Be open-minded, hehe, but I'm talking about something like 12+ minutes song, I've got some variations in my head already :)
what happened to the Koala proyect D, has some ideas came up from that?
Yesterday I recorded guitars for TheNightdiver, only bass in a few weeks and It'll be ready.
by the way, I showed the dream series to 2 good friends of mine and loved your work. They are downloading every album right now.
May 7th, a surprise dreamy dance album.
I/O TECHNOGENESIS
expect dreamy dance music. as stated above.
I am not kidding.
it's the "technological version" of COSMOGENESIS, representing the artificial structures (while COSMOGENESIS focuses mainly on organic structures).
the fuck...
the fuck...
it's going to be weird, expect it.
And saying that it is a "dance" album is a little.. off.
Mostly the album follows patterns of idm, midi space rock, ambient.
But it's definitely up-beat and, less "meaningful".
Experiments :)
speak of the devil, haha.... later today is when I gots the time, I CANNOT wait!
My favorite cover-art of yours so far. Bad ass.
I don't know what to say, other than the music you're writing is just getting better and better. Amazing album. And the editing you did to the demos I heard were a vast improvement!
Just purchased it. I didn't exactly splash out on it with a huge amount, i'm a student too. I request that you go buy an ice cream with it.
Wow, this is some gorgeous artwork.tottally agree
Is it going to uber be finished next week?!
New things are coming.
New things are coming.
and they will be very wellcomed.
Amazing work!
wow, you do really good stuff o.o
Amazing, can't wait for new tunes!

Dude, i'm listening to Singularity for the first time right now. I really like it, and imagine i'll be spinning this a lot while reading.
blasphemy, bro
Oh yeah, ambient stuff is long gone. What I do now is probably best defined as electro pop? Indie? Whatever there. The first song is with a local girl in Lithuanian, it was lovely to work together. I intend to release more songs in this genre, fuck the hatersI dig it dude. Gotta do whatever you feel like. And electro pop is goooood.
