im glad i listened to bungles full official release in chronological order.. i took so much time digesting every song on s/t , then disco volante; which i immediately noticed (and later saw an interview stating this) that their aim is to make people hate music, haha, very avante-garde, they had to get it out of their system i guess. Carry stress, desert search, and domestica violenza are just sheer genius, so well composed, so well recorded/sampled, etc. California is just too easy to get into, my little cousing who is 8 loves it when i blast air conditioned nightmare... just shows, mr.bungle could make music catchy enough for an 8 year old or mtv lovers, and different, avante-garde, experimental enough to make a blackmetal elitist (or an elitist of any sort, but my experience has been "METAL" kids getting pissed at how experimental bungle is) want to commit suicide on the spot.
in conclusion, all their albums are equally as sick, just, you can probably play most of California at a family barbeque and get away with it, as opposed to playing Phlegmatics or my ass in on fire . Best bungle song ever = Stubb a dubb

Me too. Its impossible for Patton to do something wrong. I have yet to listen to a Patton project that is boring or uninspired. I want a new Fantomas album though. |
