Don't you feel that sometimes you're tired of music?

i definitely understand how this could happen when you're just collecting digital albums all day, it's pretty inevitable when you just download something without having a connection with it or being sure you could find one.  it happened to me a little bit back when i first started downloading, but i started to just seek out new, legitimate bands in genres that i really like/am in the mood for instead of just downloading random stuff.  Then i actually find a connection with the music (via analyzing structure/style and reading about them all i can) instead of just blankly listening to new things.  usually it's several genres/bands at a time, mixed in with the old stuff, so i haven't really had a problem with things losing replay value for a looong time.

stop collecting mp3s, connect with music.

another reason why i still buy cd's.

I get tired of new music definitely and find new stuff quite hard to get into. I mean, it has to be really good for me to enjoy, otherwise I lose interest quite quickly. It also annoys me that there is so much middle-of-the-road dross around at the moment (aside from the few gems) both in mainstream music and in metal/hardcore - who signs these people?

I can honestly say I've never got bored of music.

There are way too many flavours.

I think it happens to all people interested in music.

Agreed.

Music's a great friend to me but I think it's good to have a break from each other every so often.I tend to be pretty cyclic with all my interests and passions other than beer, weed and sex.

My thoughts exactly for these 3... Man, I'm agreeing with Theis on 2 different stuff.... Wow !!    :)

If ignorance is bliss, then knock the smile off my face.

OMG.

Holy shit, wow.... phew! Anyways, what was I gonna say... Oh yeah

I get bored with music because it's hard to find new good music, even from bands I like.  Music today kinda sucks. I search relentlessly for good "old" music. I was deprived of some of the music in the 90's because I was listening to the mainstream shit, you know, like a lot of rap.  So now I am getting into some bands from that era. But a I only end up really gettin into like one or two songs and I play that shit out till I'm sick of it and ready to find more music.

what happens to me sometimes is, i put one cd into my cd deck and half a song later i want to listen to something else... it's a horrible feeling...

i've kinda learned how to get over it... smoke half a joint, it'll make you peaceful, might make you sit in one place and enjoy whatever you're listening to. but it only lasts till you're stoned...

yeah, been there, i hate it when that happens, and i agree with someone who said "collect albums, not mp3s", so true. the first time i experienced this was when i was downloading a whole lot of mp3s. complete discographies, just so i could own a lot of music. i still have a load of music that i haven't heard... sucks.
