Well, after the WB nazis finally lifted the ban on this video, I present to you a CORRECT cover for "Poltergeist":

Deftones Poltergeist Guitar Cover

I plan on getting every cover of Koi No Yokan up on youtube, and if enough people dig them, go back into their older cataglogue.

Looks legit to me, excellent job. Whenever I get my 8 string I'll for sure refer back to your video. Looks like an easy, yet fun song to play. The riffs are so crushing.

It's super easy.  Believe it or not, jacking the strings up to a ridiculous gauge keeps them in tune on just a 7-string.  Did the same thing for Diamond Eyes.  Glad this could be of help!

Really awesome cover. I would like to see you do more.

A few things I noticed:

0:40 - the beginning of the chorus, Stef doesn't start down on the 2nd fret on the 8th string......he starts at the 4th fret on the 7th string and plays a straight 5th power chord (or whatever those chords are called....the same type of chord played at the beginning of Bored). He slides up from the 4th to 6th.

1:54 - there is another chord in the middle of the bridge that you are missing......a straight fifth chord on the 5th fret of the 8th string after you play the straight fifth chord on the 2nd fret of the 7th string.

3:20 - in the outro, when Stef jumps up to the 12th fret instead of the 9th, he plays that entire sequence on the 12th....not just the end.

3:28 - very last riff, play a power chord and palm mute that entire last sequence

did you drop your 7 string to E for this?

Poltergeist is F#

Im sorry man but its not. Its in drop E .. it even has it in a few setlists .. the entire album is in drop E and chino is A G C F A D... and those are the real tunings :)
Was it like it seemed?...

My bad!

Sorry, guy. This is far from correct. Your tuning is off (at least the lowest string) and you're missing a half tone chord change in the bridge.

I stand corrected, just looked at more live videos and it does look like Stef plays that opening riff on the 11th fret in drop E. Good call dude.
