Fuck he's in some kind of zone right now. The piggie squeal is becoming a thing of the past.

Nathan

Thanks for Knife Party, Ves.

Yeah, I'm tellin ya, they're back in a major way...you can just feel the vibe in their sets.

Great pictures too.  Thanks, SomeOf.
They're waaaaaaay better than my shots, so I won't bother posting em.

I hope some nice audio of this set surfaces soon.

you know what i heard about sublime? they are not allowed to use that name, it is not legally owned by them, thats some fucked up shit. hope they work that out.

theis

They did work that out. They "won" the case.

pixElsblUr

That's great news, thanks penguin.

No problemo :)

Here's the info:

On behalf of the band Sublime, founding members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson are thrilled by the opportunity to reconnect with their fans around the world. While we all mourn the passing of our brother and bandmate Bradley Nowell some thirteen years ago, Sublime still has a strong message of hope and love to share — a message that is especially important in these difficult times.

Brad's heirs apparently do not share this vision and do not want the band Sublime to continue and tried — unsuccessfully — to file a temporary restraining order to prevent the band from carrying on. Despite those objections, we are pleased that the United States District Court has allowed us to perform as Sublime for all of our fans.

We urge everyone to join us in our message of peace and love, and we look forward to sharing the music we created — the music that defines us.

very cool, i was huge sublime fan (still am, just not a regular in my pl), looking forward to hear new tunes.

stoneFeD

sublime was bomb. the crowd went nuts over them which is cool cause they are gnarly live. it was definitely worth the trip

Nathan

I'm a huge Sublime fan.
I honestly wasn't sure how I was gonna feel about the whole thing, but after watching their set, they have my full support!
The new guy is really good...has Brad's voice down, while also bringing a lil of his own flavor to the songs.
Like the other dude said, the crowd went nuts for them....they had more pits going than Deftones (by night fall, all the stoners were burned out and tired, haha).
They played mostly the hits...Date Rape, Smoke 2 Joints, Santeria, Badfish, Wrong way, What I got, etc.
I wanted STP sooooo bad!  But it never came :(
They did play (what i assume was) a new song, and it was THE SHIT.
Fast punky chorus with distortion, then slow ska-ish verse...it was really good, I can't wait to hear some more new material.
I think a dude I know recorded their set...I'll def upload it and share here for ya'll asap.
