What a shock. Mike Shinoda did something that sucks

Stop. spat out my coffee. shit. ha

Excited to hear the rest of the remixes. That said I feel that Black Stallion might not be as a cohesive remix album with so many people involved doing remixes compared to Remanufacture – Cloning Technology remix of Fear Factory's Demanufacture which was mostly remixed by Rhys Fulber.

Did they say they were "surprised"? Like, something unexpected?

I think this remix album is going to be better than most could have predicted... there will always be haters though, but so far I've liked the 2 remixes so far.

I just have this feeling the Robert Smith remix will be my favorite track.

Almost as excited as ive ever been about anything for this! Wish i didnt have expectation for it though.
I just cannot believe he became part of this project. I know him and the guys are friendly but Robert Smith doesn't collaberate with just anyone. I would say of all the projects hes worked on, Deftones has to be the most outside of what hes done IMO. He must be fond of their work.

He's obviously a fan as he invited the band to play the 2018 Meltdown festival in London that he curated (which they did) so it's a reciprocal thing which is really nice.

That was such a minimalistic remix, it was great.
