A little pissed off. I guess WB pulled all the leak links quick fast and in a fucking hurry.  I've already payed for the goddamn album and they mopped up all the links before I could get to them. Fuckers. Any chance they'll release anything else to those of us who have already purchased the album? And i mean more than that piss poor remix of rocket skates

besides, it's not your right in any way to be able to download the leak before the album comes out, or get any other bonuses just because you've already ordered it. find something else to cry about.

lol, so let me get this straight, you're threatening to ban me from an internet forum (lol) because I posted an initial frustration due to the fact that while having actually paid for the album I can't listen to it while others who have stolen it can, got a shitty response from a moderator whom I guess was trying to sound witty and i don't know......maybe.....defensive? by getting on soapbox about how WB "doesn't owe us anything," which of course had absolutely jack shit zero to do with what I had said. If you can actually follow that line of reasoning, then you're the only one and I envy you living in your own little world where you can weave together completely nonsensical, non-sequitur threads of bullshit and somehow feel empowered by it.  Wow.  IN any case, I did find it, and have since downloaded due to a helpful person on another board. it's real easy to jump the good ol' "abuse of power" argument, huh? it's interesting how people think they can behave however the fuck they want, then when someone calls them out on it they have to make a fuss about it.

we have a no leaks policy here, so this place isn't exactly where you should be coming to cry about the leak. and having a really bad attitude and calling people idiot on top of that doesn't really make anything better. I have no reason to ban you as long as you refrain from using personal attacks as some sort of argument.

it knocked them out of the fog they were in so long and made them appreciate what they do again, with a new zest and refreshed outlook.

So it's not like this album is missing Chi's presence. This album has his name all over it, just like the rest of them.

Funny thing is, those 'high notes' in Digital Bath, are his falsetto, just like the one in Cherry Waves where he goes 'Suuuuuuck' and the same with 976 'So I geeeeeeeeeeeeeeet'

So really, it's the same thing, just a bit lower. He can still do the Digital Bath highs man, anyone who knows how to sing in falsetto pretty much can. It's so much easier than belting highs.

yeah dude but when he yells ''geeet'' he actually doesnt use his real voice, i guess its a fake high note that even you can do..its similar to a man imitating a girl voice..

try this you ll see what i mean :

but its not a even real high voice on 976 ( 1:00 to 02 and 1:18 to 20 )..i dont hear any squeal on his voice..its kinda he's faking us
check digital bath  (2:18)..That's the high note no one can reach that so easly..he did it at cherry waves too..

i'm really proud of them, i honestly thought they'd never get out from underneath that black cloud. 03-08. don't get me wrong, they were still writing good stuff, but something wasn't right and i knew they could do better. it was like they were just going through the motions, and thought of it as their job, not their passion. still made real solid stuff, but ehhh. i been a huge fan since late 95, and i knew something was off. now they're back it seems, snapped out of that slumber, the sleeping giant has finally awoke

c'mon man, s/t got some of their best stuff on it.of course u dont like dark heavy shit like s/t when your more into songs poppy songs like hoburg hop,linus, freaks and gift etc that doesnt make s/t a bad or lack of passion, you just have goofy taste thats all

besides that, diamond eyes is great, def top 3

I agree, S/T and SNW times were definitely dark. They were slowly coming out of it with SNW. But I think it's down to their attitude and outlook on the band. Like you said, it became their job, simply because their label sucks ass. But now they're going full pelt, despite this and all of the issues they once had, are gone. It's all about the experience and the art. How it was before the aftermath of White Ponys huge success kicked in.

Yeah, the falsetto.. a lot of people use it when they can not full pelt a note anymore. I guess that's what happens when you've been recording/playing shows for 20 odd years.

i like s/t though, remember. just least of deftones stuff. but i'm not a casual deftones fan, i'm a crazed diehard so i really like everything they've done. i'm bias, i like all their shit. pcp idiot version sucks, but just cause that IP schmuck ruined it

I don't see him belting.. I see him using his falsetto Cause once you hit that high note, you can push it and it's almost like making a high pitched wail of a cat.

I don't know if you sing, but I have the same range as Chino/Matt Bellamy (Muse) and belting that high note in Digital Bath just takes it out of you..

I can and that's what I'm trying to tell you lol because as soon as he says ''Feel Like'' I can hear the switch in his voice as he's about to push out 'More' and I hear/feel the same thing when I sing it myself. But you're the Master vocalist, so ok.. he's belting the note

Sounds the same to me, just a different effect over his voice than the one on Digital Bath. It's a lot more echoey and distant.

I just did? We could argue about it all day, but it really doesn't matter. The only thing that spurred me into the arguement is because people always bang on about Chino's vocals being weaker. Yet his range has hardly changed, the only thing that ever affected it was his weight at the time. Since he was clearly unhealthy after getting off the coke. Which he admitted himself in his interview with Kerrang ages back.

If either of us get to meet him from this point on.. maybe we should just be trivial and ask him if it's a belter or a falsetto note, just for clarification

pitch is the same but vocal trick is not

Doesn't sound like it on this album, he sounds like he does on White Pony. But yes, Birthmark is a prime example of his head voice.. when he was practically a kid.

s/t is one of their finest work with terry date and snw is their shittiest stuff,done with ezrin and lopez... thats why i just hate when people lump those two records together because they sound nothing like each other.

so what if the band went through bad times during the making of the two, music wise theyre very distant from each other.

as for the new album.. im trying my best not to over play it too much... such great stuff.. i get all dizzy thinking of it. but boy did it leak too early
