let down by this album.  even the tracks I like are only sub par.

Royal
Rocket Skates
You've Seen The Butcher

and one more I can't remember are my tracks...the rest is boring.  I like the M83 remix...

Royal? Subpar? DOES. NOT. COMPUTE.

sing blue silver

Around The Fur
Deftones
White Pony
Saturday Night Wrist
Adrenaline

i'm going to leave Diamond Eyes out for now but it's looking like it's a shoe in for second or third place. nothing can replace around the fur because of the memories with that album and it obviously being their best and most energetic, exciting and inspired record. most people get that feeling from white pony but around the fur does it for me every time, every song.

now for the Diamond Eyes

1. Beauty School
1.5. Prince
2. Royal
3. CMND/CTRL
4. Rocket Skates
5. 976-EVIL
6. Risk
7. TPID
8. YSTB
9. Diamond Eyes
10. Sextape

Sushi-X

I get a s/t feel from 'this place is dead'

i'm always half expecting the RX Queen lyrics to come in. feels like RX Queen 2.0 but it's still a fucking jam and a half and the chorus', i agree are very S/T sounding but that's how i likes it.

prince or anything on DE doesn't remind me of S/T at all, thankfully

and everyone is making the prince rx queen comparison, and i don't hear it, the verse is different enough to not make me think rx queen, and the rest is way different. 2 totally different songs really

Far away

my list (considering their records):

1- S/T
2- ATF
3- WP
4- Diamond eyes
5- Adrenaline
6- SNW

Sushi-X

Yes, post the cat again!

Definitley. He obviously must become self-titleized. He must join the collective.

Seriously, though, I thought I was the only one who really dug s/t until I came here. I was suprised at the love.

I agree with prince having the street carp vibe, although it is a much better song as a whole. I think everybody gets that impression from the bass riff.

I can't really rate one deftones album over another, the list will change almost weekly depending on my mood. For example, today I played SNW and actually   enjoyed it very much.

it's been forever since i listened to the first 4 deftones albums. 06 sept me and some friends went to see deftones(we hung out with them for like 8 hours the day before), and the friend that drove us insisted on me bringing a few deftones cds, so i brought adrenaline and atf. last time i heard those, and before that last time i listened to all 4 was 2004. 5 months ago i was at a party and someone threw in S/T, maybe the first 5 songs played before it got switched. i've listened to those albums so much i decided to give them a massive break. don't know when i'll break them out again, 5 years, who knows. i think it's good to give albums a break, even your favorites, all albums no matter the band need a break

Menos el Oso

Here is some news.

The Deftones Film Video For "Diamond Eyes

"The Deftones recently wrapped up filming a new video for their track "Diamond Eyes" with director Roboshobo (Metallica, Mastodon). You can expect to see it in the coming weeks. The song itself serves as the title track to the bands new album which was recently brought forward to a May 04th release date."

Wax And Wane

I've been reliving all the old deftones albums since I'm trying to hold out on the new album til it comes out. lol. I forgot how amazing some of the stuff is. Like for sure the hard to find stuff. Got the live album where in the middle of bored Chino stops the song cos some kid lost his shoe in the pit. Then Chino's all like "I lose a pair of shoes everynight" Ah classic. :)

I've run through the album once... I don't know all the tracks that well yet, but what I don't like is the blandness across most of this.  He's crooning and singing in a new way to me and I don't like it.  I know its good for them to go in a new direction...but im not enjoying it.  I need more time with it at this point.

I love sex. I try to have it every day. I sure as hell am not going to give it a break for 5 years.

Same goes for steak, bacon, drinking, smoking and Deftones.

The Prince appears like a sequel to RX queen to me, a lot in the song is similar.

Hidalgo

i've listened to deftones a decent amount since then, just not the first 4 albums. snw, b'sides, covers, like linus, and now diamond eyes are all on the menu
