the deftones are,as you know, about highs and lows, aggro/soft... the dynamics. those songs above are all soft with no screams. and that is because those songs are written to appeal girls. im not bashing, im honouring your bravness

So what do you think? I think it is safe to say that it exceeded 98% of this board's expectations. As for myself, I don't forsee anything coming close in 2010. I have said it before but this is a band at the top of thier game. Regardless of how you want to rank the albums, Diamond Eyes is a monumental achievement.

I'm agreeing with you. Wen Chino said it was similar to White Pony (lyrics-wise anyways), I was excited about it. Wen I heard Diamond Eyes it kinda lowered my expectations a little (even though I love the song) but it definitely was better than I thought it'd be, so respect to them for that.
