i was thinking today....you know that 'woo' chino does after the chorus on rocket skates, after watching the video, i think he only does it so he can inhale sharpely and lubricate his throat to recover from the screams so he's ready to sing the more melodic verses. other than that, it really isn't about 'woo's' in deftones. needless to say it was a slow news day in my brain today.

i like HITE, especially the guitars. it seems like one of their more technical songs guitar wise. i listened to snw for the first time last night in maybe over a year, and i really enjoyed it. rapture is awesome. cherry waves, xerces, uudd, combat, kimdrac, riviere. all reaally good. i like all of it, even mein and pcp, but her rant is uncool and just vile. i dunno why some of you hate it so much, it's pretty darn good. s/t and snw aren't enemies, you can like both. i know i do. those 2 are deftones worst, but damn they're still very solid album. DE is better than both though. my best friend even listened to it cause his brother hyped it up so much, and he told me he thought it was awesome. he never really listened to snw or s/t. he was really on board for the first 3 albums, and now DE. people are diggin this album, coming out of the woodwork

tidbit: they DID use protools for DE

and yea, i hear "HEY" in hite, not "woo". Chino just feeling the groove like tool "I SAID people tell me what to say"

if you scream that hard generally a lot of the shit that was once in your throat will now be in your mouth. If he then breathes in sharpely by doing that inhaling whoo thing and brings said shit back down his throat the theory might work. I never expected to go to such lenghts expalining something that was based on 90% bull shit.
