Ok. so it's not just a book... it's also a movie now.. and just the names "Edward"  or "Jacob" sends shivers down girls' backs all across America.   So, I  (with the help of Kelly) decided to open up a discussion about this.

Why is it that girls are attracted to boys who are prettier than they are?  I don't see what you girls see in that edward cat at all.  Jacob is a good looking guy though.  If you ignore his pig nose.

So seriously now.  Are these books actually good?  Or are you just obsessing over boys?

She was writing "Midnight Sun" which is written from Edwards perspective.  It is on hold indefinately, as the draft leaked indefinately to the internet, and Stephenie is pissed... and isn't finishing it yet....    hopefully she will!

I think they should have found someone else to play Jacob.  He is after all in the book, supposed to be 6'5"  .... which that kid is TOTALLY NOT.

that's probably the reason for me, personally, disliking this whole "phenomenon".

but on the other hand, the only redeeming value for this stuff is that it does get the ladies' panties wet.

James looks like paul walker.  Kristen Stewart is way hot too.  She made me nearly nut my pants in the movie " Into the wild "

I don't know though.  I am skeptical about this movie - these books.  I think this author just found a fresh way to write those romance-sex novels that you would expect to find Fabio posing on the cover for.  We all ignored them forever while girls shamefully hid them under their beds and read them when no one was looking.  It seems to me that this author found a socially acceptable way to re introduce all that ridiculousness into our lives.  But this time she targeted young girls, and the moms just jumped on board.   It's a little disturbing when you think about it.  I prefer books like the one below.  Because at least people had the common sense not to buy it for their kid daughters, unless they wanted them to turn into sluts.

thats what i thought too. i was making fun of my girl for reading vampire porn. but that back fired cause she gave me an extremely long winded synopsis of the 4 books.
