Loving "This Place Is Death" fellas....good ears. It really is a great song IMO. Caught my ear the first time, in fact I replayed that one before moving on and realizing that was it. So different for them and was prob y it caught my ear. The best part was the intro to it as it reminded me of those mesmerizing stage intros (before they walk out and the lights dim)  Goosebumps at that point and I knew I was in for something great! Still love that one and tend to show it off a little to ppl who never heard it. My ol man loves it at 52 years old bc he's into some psychedelic old school rock. Not the same but close to my ears anyways. LOVE the lyrics, as simple as they really are....they mean a lot to me. Grateful for that track and hope to hear something more of that style on this next one.

I think we can mostly agree that "Lovers" is one of there best songs or at least good. At first it didn't really catch my attention, but after about a half a year of knowing it exists, Its grown on me more and more. Its like everything the Deftones should be. Heavy and melodic, ethereal and solid, has a very bittersweet atmosphere to it, the lyrics almost sound like some kind of science fiction scenario yet can be taken in a realistic fashion as well when applying some metaphor, it holds all the things that we generally attribute to Deftones sound.....

I thought this for a while, but doubted it sometimes, but I'm starting to think again "Fireal" is literally they're best song ever. So much passion through out the whole thing. You can't get much more brutally honest and genuine.
