I can't see myselg migrating from social network again unless facebook gets isolated. and even then I'd think about it.

I invited a buddy of mine to it.  He uploaded a picture of himself with no shirt on.  I pretty much have no other friends on there so every time I log in, I see a shirtless dude.

Thing is G+ has so so much more potential than Facebook, and is what a social network should be.
I really hope it will pick up a big big follower base, because I really don't want to use facebook anymore after seeing what a social network could / should have been...

I think that it's more likely that FB will copy this circle thing, rather than let google beat them.

These are both massive companies doing battle. But FB totally ownes the social networking world.
I mean, they literally killed myspace.  Enough said?

FB isn't trying to be a search engine, and Google is probably going to loose at this. Although, im rooting for google. I like competition.

I kinda hope facebook rides this out and remains on top - just for the simple fact google is on its way to owning most of what the net is used for (outside of porn), what with the youtube acquisition - dont get me wrong, Im no facebook fan, but they, along with twitter, do their thing and their thing only.  Monopolys are a pain in the arse.

Forced monopolies are a pain in the ass, if you have a monopoly cause your offer is better, and no one else can beat you, well, it's a different story to me.
Plus they don't use their monopoly to force you to use their other products, so...

Maybe I guess, but now the Chromebooks are out, its heading that way...

And yeah myspace - its still my favourite.  Music is the only reason I do the social site thing.

When I first joined, I don't remember it being centered around anything except horny teenagers trying to meet other people. But maybe I just didn't pay enough attention.

Like everything else in life I'm pretty late in the game. I think I was the last guy in my grade to go through puberty. It sucked having a girlfriend that wanted to fuck and I couldn't even cum. lol
So by the time I knew about myspace music seemed to be the focal point. Maybe not though. I guess I was just comparing it to facebooks lack of music culture.

I think I  used to masturbate and pee at the end, before I hit puberty, because I knew something was supposed to happen at the end.

But yeah, one of my friends gave me the link to myspace when it was first starting up because I was complaining about not having a GF. So,  by accident, I found it in it's early days. But it was mainly just a place for mid-school and high-school kids to try and hook up. A lot of black dudes sending white girls messages like "yo grl, its ur boi tyrone. u r hawt & luk kool. holla bak if u aint a h8ter".

Eventually it got more popular and I think a lot of bands realized it was a good way to get their music out, so a whole music scene emerged on myspace. But I don't that that was ever it's original purpose, or even ever its main function. Although I could totally see how you would think that it was. I never really noticed how bands don't use facebook the same as they did myspace, until you said that.
