Music Festivals

(I think this would be a great topic to sticky given the popularity of festivals these days... anyhow)

So I figure we have a great community of music-lovers of all different styles/genres/etc. on here.. how about posting some Festival gossip?


I know for one we have slowly built up a great handful of festivals here in Western Canada. This would include big international-calibre festivals like Pemberton:www.pembertonfestival.com, Squamish Festival: www.squamishfestival.com, and Boonstock: http://www.boonstock.ca.

we also have some awesome SXSW inspired festivals around such as Sled Island: http://www.sledisland.com here in Calgary.



I figured I would start this topic to get some festival chat going.. what fests are you stoked for this year? what sets are you most excited to see? What headliners are you most excited for? Which fests have the best acts/headliners/cool niche artists.. (eg: big acts like Outkast, Arctic Monkeys are playing at seemingly every big fest, but only certain ones have niche acts such as Touche Amore, Purity Ring, Graveyard, Mission of Burma, Chvrches, etc..
