Entombed is a great song until it hits one of the most half-assed bridges in Deftones history and then just repeats itself.

Bridge is kind of lame. But certainly not the lamest or most predictable bridge they've ever done, that honor might have to go to Rocket Skates. The bridge of Entombed is more than made up for by the rest of the song and that outro...so good.

Best song on KNY. If it's true that he wrote the majority, or entirety, of that song, then it probably was his lack of influence on Gore that made it lackluster (usually I'm on team Chino when it comes to music but damn, Entombed was one of the best Deftones songs). I guess we really do need more of an inspired Steph on the next record.

Over the years I've noticed how Chino is good with the music and Steph adding to it makes it even greater however I'd still like to see Steph's side more. I know its about dynamics of lush and aggression but doesn't mean we can't have the more aggressive songs too. Chino doesn't have to scream much but at least something heavy. Its what I love about the band, loud heavy distorted guitars with Chino's soft vocals.

Maybe next record?

I know it's still early and this album is still growing on me more and more but... I think this might be Deftones best since ST. Better than SNW which has been my second favourite Deftones record after ST. It's still too early to say for sure but holy shit. This album is fantastic and just keeps getting better. At the very least, it is certainly the best of the Sergio era.

I'm sure this post will be scoffed at , forgotten and ignored, but Jesus.  This site has officially hit the wall.  We're really picking on Chino's hair and fans in the crowd who have receding hairlines and yelling "Chino?"  I'm 38, going on 39, and my hair is receding.  I also yell Chino every chance I get at every live show i get to go to. The reason I fell in love with Deftones 20 years ago was the fact that every fan was included.  You could go to a show and no one would judge you or make fun of you.  The people who DID were pushed aside and marginalized.  I've been to shows where Chino stopped songs to help girls fallen in pits.  Where crowd surfers were hurt.  Eh, you know what, fuck you guys.  I was going to work really hard to respond to all of this hatred, all of this silliness, but man, I come from a world where music used to save your life.  You used to write letters and spend money on records to meet your heroes.  Love you Deftones and Chi and every bad ass dude who picked me up off the floor at a show.  I've been a member of sharing lungs for 15 years, because i can find information about the band I LOVE.  Now it's just a place for people to say dumb shit.  Cool for you.  Chino now has blonde hair.  When you're 40 and you're wife is fat and gross, or you're 40 and you're single, sign back on sharinglungs and make your judgements.  Or not.

Damn, dude.  You obviously don't hang out around here much.  There is a lot of sarcasm and jokes going on here.  I haven't seen people really gang up or attack anyone...ever.  It does look kind of funny to see a guy in his 40's still sagging his pants and dying his hair but everyone here respects Chino.  Without him, none of us would even be on this board.
