Ok, anyone in the know: should i convert a flac file to MP3 (want this on my iPod) or will I lose all the quality I've been holding out for?

If you have a mac, there is an app that will put the files in your itunes without losing quality, so worth it.

XLD is a good converter .. change it to apple lossless

converting to Apple lossless is the best way for right now just to make the files playable on iTunes but as stated way earlier, you can't tell the different between a 320kbps version and a flac version unless the headphones you're using are highend, studio quality headphones and I'm not talking about those piece of shit beats by Dre.

Cool, I'm using Windows and converting to MPEG Layer-3 (I'm pretty useless with this stuff, in case you hadn't noticed). I hope that doesn't dud the qual too much..
