the book is very well written.

a lot of things about candy annoyed me even though i enjoyed the film. abbie cornish slipped under my radar in 'somersault'. i thought she did okay there but with candy, i just realised she absolutely does nothing for me. she was in a television movie called 'marking time' on the abc. she was ok in that too. i saw the preview for bright star when i went to see where the wild things are and my friend and i were cringing the whole time.

you should watch 'last train to freo'. it has tom budge in it. he played schumann in candy. i really like tom budge.

I just got finished with watching xx/xy. There was something really off with it. I think it was the fact that I didn't really give a shit about the characters. I thought they were all assholes and bitches and really wanted nothing to do with them after the first ten minutes. It was like YPF, that sex changes a relationship. However, in YPF you cared about the people involved. In xx/xy, you hope they are miserable because they seem like such horrible people.

finished watching four weddings and a funeral. i can't believe i waited this long to watch this film. insanity on my part.

Just got finished watching The International, and I'm glad I didn't waste 11 bucks to see it in theaters. Tom Tykwer is a great director, and Naomi Watts and Clive Owen are great actors, but it felt as if the plot got lost or just muddled in translation. Nothing in there really wanted me to care. It's good as far as thrillers go, but I wouldn't say much else about it.

i'm on a hunt for this film at the video store today.

I saw The Girlfriend Experience  last night. I liked how simple it was, yet intelligent and chic. This could have easily gone all wrong putting a porn star in this film, but it didn't. I don't think the film would have gotten it's point across without Sasha Grey. I'm not saying she was Oscar worthy, but I do think she brought a certain sophistication to the film that I'm not sure any other actress could have done.

I saw The Royal Tenenbaums last week. I haven't been too fond of Wes Anderson's films in the past, but this one surprised me. At first, I wasn't too into it. Towards the end of the film, that's when it showed a lot of heart. I cried.

bright lights, big city

the end of that movie is amazing. big payoff for sitting through the whole time.

I saw Dangerous Liasions a few nights ago. At first, I wasn't sure I would believe John Malkovich as being a great seducer, but it is John Malkovich. I thought the movie was good, not great. I was amused by Keanu Reeves' performance, and Michelle Pfieffer annoyed me but I was impressed with Glenn Close. It was enjoyable, but not magnificent.

watched intermission and i loved every minute. detective lynch pissed the shit out of me. he had absolutely no respect for anyone least of all himself. what a cockhead. as much as i dislike colin farrell, i really liked him here. i also didn't realise how much i like shirley henderson. she's very underrated as an actress. this was a different type of role for her and she totally nailed it. stand out performance for me. all the characters were top-notch though. very rarely does that happen. i loved all the wankers in this movie as well like oscar and john's boss and that fucked up little runt of a kid that kept throwing rocks at cars.

i just watched one of the most incredible movie's i've ever seen thus far in my life. it was called 'trilogy: the weeping meadow'. my eyes are still sore from crying.

I just got finished watching Sunshine Cleaning. Even though I found the characters to be charming, it felt as if the script was rushed and written in under five minutes. There were so many things this movie could have delved into, and it didn't. I wish we got more of a history on the characters, too. This film was just too incomplete to be considered good.

Paranoid Park was okay for what it was. I still think Gus Van Sant is neat.

i just watched new moon. seriously, why would anyone choose edward over jacob? no logic about that. although there is also no logic to me watching new moon either.

Watched Brick again last night.

Fucking love this flick.

Finally saw Inglorious Basterds. Really enjoyed it.

I am slightly afraid that Tarantino´s head might get so big he just floats away.

Really? I think it's his best written work yet. Every bit of dialogue is relevant and most of the times, very intense.

I'm glad to see he's back on track. Definitely one of my favorites of the 00's.
