how high can your shutterspeed go on your camera?

Its not my camera.My flatmate has a cheap digital cam but it does'nt get anywhere near as clear pics.

All I know is the one my friend uses is a Nikkon and looks like a small cannon.

hmmm.... well if it has a shutterspeed option then you should adjust it to as long as possible. And oh, you could always write stuff the correct way and mirror it in photoshop.

maybe you mean longer number... a HIGHER shutter speed with the right apeture, will give fireflys pix more "snap shot" clarity instead of the blurryness... it will be able to freeze the motion better...But im not sure what he was trying to do? and what speed of film is he using? wait hes shooting digital... nevermind... im talking traditional photography here..
