anyone who loves classic rock should watch this Scorsese movie:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077838/

it's fantastic.

The Band is criminally underrated.

bright lights, big city

YES! My dad has that documentary. He definitely got me into them. Actually them and CCR.

And speaking of Scorsese docu's, I'd like to still see Shine The Light. You see it??

Bright Lights !..Why the fuck are you so damn awesome? Cant you be a piece of shit sometimes?

theis

yup, i saw it about three weeks ago. it's really good. i had hoped for some more interviews though. but yeah, The Stones put on a great show.

bright lights, big city

cool. I'm assuming the Last Waltz was probably more killer though?

The Beatles!

the most overrated band in the hstory of rock'n'roll!

theis

i agree.

i mean, i acknowledge their influence on music, but most of their stuff have never appealed to me. especially their early recods. can't listen to those at all. 'the white album' and 'abbey road' are both very enjoyable though.

anyways, at the moment i've been really into;

the band
janis joplin
zeppelin
hendrix
doors
grateful dead
allman brothers band

whodunit?

led zeppelin
king crimson
black sabbath
deep purple
janis joplin
grateful dead
mahavishnu orchestra

theis

damn dude, you like janis? nice.

The Beatles!

the most overrated band in the hstory of rock'n'roll!

no way. i understand people not liking their first couple cds, but
Rubber Soul (1965)
Revolver (1966)
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967)
Magical Mystery Tour (1967)
The Beatles (The White Album) (1968)
Abbey Road (1969)
Let It Be (1970)

are all incredible records. that fact they made so much great music and such an impact on the music scene in just 10 yrs is amazing. you may not be a fan of their music. i can respect that. but to say they are overrated is just plain wrong.

theis

rolling stones > beatles

devlin

no way. i'm a fan of the stones but definitly not better than the beatles.

bright lights, big city

yeah both are brilliant don't get me wrong, but personally I enjoy listening to the Beatles more as well.

Been on a massive "classic rock" binge lately.

Sabbath, Zeppelin, Floyd, Blue Oyster, Fleetwood Mac, Who, Crimson...

There's a reason why these bands are legendary.

This music never, never, ever gets old.
