im not one who pays attention to lyrical content, so just musically, i feel its rather sad and pissed off. and as far as hooks, apart from the DE single, it took me more than a couple of spins to get to know and remember the tunes. more than deftones other records.

i wonder how other people experienced their introduction to this.. i hear comparison to white pony, but i think that one is way more "easy listening".

First post but far from a noob. I have been on this board daily since S/T. I gotta admit I love the banter from all you guys. I have been a Deftones fan for over a decade.

This record is a masterpiece and I am so proud of all the guys. This one will go platinum and earn another Grammy for the band.
