stp to tour again?

today i heard them mention on the radio that slash (ex-guns and roses/velvet revolver) confirmed that after they (velvet revolver) finsish up their current tour or whatever it was they were doing that sometime after that stone temple pilots were going to reunite to play some shows.

being i was a huge fan of stp i thought this news was awesome!   

can't wait to hear more.

Reunion: 2008-present
On January 20, 2008, a Miami Herald blog reported that Scott said that the public "should be on the lookout for an STP reunion in the coming months." Billy Morrison also claimed on a December 29, 2007 edition of Camp Freddy Radio that STP have venues on hold for shows and that "it's no secret, half of LA knows it," implicating a reunion tour. There are rumors that the tour will kick off in May at the Rock on the Range festival in Ohio.

All of this coincides with a quote from Weiland last summer where he stated, "The only thing that's left unfinished is the completion of the story. I feel that there could be a better final chapter, a better bookend. If all the planets line up, you never know what might happen one day."

Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash confirmed the reunion by telling Billboard.com on January 25, 2008 that STP will be playing shows this summer MTV.com also reported the same day that music industry sources have said the summer reunion tour is on and that several bands are trying to secure opening spots for the tour It is rumored that the timing of Weiland's informal announcement means a headlining appearance at the 2008 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and that STP will release an official statement after the Bonnaroo lineup announcement.

One of my top ten bands and when Velvet played "Sex Type Thing" here in New Zealand I swear the crowd responded more to that than any of their tunes.

Great news even if I doubt they'll be here any time soon.

I know I'm going off topic here but the reunion I wanna hear happen: Soundgarden - Even if for like one big show, kinda like Pink Floyd at Live 8, 2005, though their set was short...

I bet Soundgarden will do a reunion sooner or later. if it's one show, one tour or one album... I don't know. but as far as I know there aren't any hard feelings between the guys.
