Yes I think it is. But I always thought the singers voice was a bit deeper than that.... They got the snare drum sound just right though.

Although I bet that Kittie (the band) are somewhat influenced by the sound of Deftones, and other Sacto based bands (Will Haven, Far...).  I was listening to a Kittie song (from the album Spit, I think   ), and I swear it sounded like it had the same structure as a Far song on the album Tin Cans With Strings To You.  Sounded very similar too.

and ok, closed case, as soon i watched that "supposed to be cover", then another cover came up: Change (http://mx.youtube.com/watch?v=7GM82ndjb7M) and it clearly specifys that is not Kiitie, just Deftones speed-up: "This IS NOT Kittie. It's the original song...sped up. The End.~ "
but i like more the way My own Summer sounds... good job in the chorus, really seems to be a girl, but anyways... closed case, Kittie hasn't covered any Deftones song. Word.
