2009 Music Draft (Draft Board)

Now, welcome to the 2009 Music draft. participated in a draft before, or have seen drafts played. I will simply post the tips and a quick overview.

Overview:

The participants will draft ten rounds, one pick at a time.
We pick up the line, and then back down. 1-12 and the 12-1. Those in either the 12th, or 1st position get to pick back to back (two picks at a time to kick off the next round).
You will have 24 hours in which to post your pick.
If you miss your pick, your name will be placed in green on the list below, two misses and you are out and your name will be colored red. No exceptions.
Anyone deliberately running the clock will be immediately placed in green font.
After a pick is drafted it is dead. No one else can pick it, even if said person is booted, or backs out.
Only musical artists are permitted to be drafted. Composers, solo artists, bands.

Tips:

If you don't think you are going to be around for your pick, you should really PM your pick to someone reliable enough to post it for you. A good rule of thumb is to PM it to two people you trust.
Diversity! A list with too much of one genre is destined to fail.
Questions should be PM'd to me, or asked in the Discussion thread.
Keep your eye on both threads. There is no reason why you can't check both when you first sign on to SL and right before you leave.

IMPORTANT!!!! If you are unsure on whether or not you can draft something, PM me. The last thing we want is for there to be a mistake that hasn't been covered above.

If you are skipped, you don't pick until everyone else has picked their ten picks. Whoever was skipped will then get to pick their missing picks in drafting order until everyone has ten picks. If you miss your make-up pick, you lose that round's pick. In other words, you go to voting with only 9 artists.
