I just want it for collectors sake. I collect vinyls and I also collect anything with the deftones name on it. It's a bit of a kick in the pants that I just bought the reissues and already have 2 copies of adrenaline, ATF, white pony AND covers but I don't mind having a third of each of them. It'll be more of a show piece for me to put on display. Two glorious words, disposable income.

they are both being repressed on color through Hot Topic. ST comes out on 10/11 and as of right now SNW comes out 11/8. Both limited to 2000 copies and both are one some crazy colored vinyl.

It's not so much what it is necessarily but the fact that it's limited and collectable that make it worth an investment.  

Vinyl, although largely redundant is the only form of musical media that appears to be timeless, i think it's because it was the blueprint for all modern sound recording and thus very well respected and the best medium to make a collectable homage to a band like this.

Also when they say 7 albums (8 LP) I assume that means White Pony will remain as a 2 LP album right?

I decided not to purchase it after all. I'd rather save that money for my Polk speakers and a receiver, so that I can start listening to my records already. I would have bought it, if  it came with the Entertain Me dvd. lol

Only 25 random copies of numbers 1 - 500 version were signed. They were only available from deftones.com webstore

ordered and paid for    they probably will release a new vinyl box set like this, when the new album is out. different layout and with the new album and linus on vinyl. $300. and then once again,we will open our wallets - getting triplets of the first 6 records mumbling something about "if i had known this
i would not have bought the previous box set"

Because sound matters says only 1000 copies limited to the U.S does this mean they wont ship to the UK?
