Just about to get on the road to Montreal. I'll try and update the Heavy MTL setlist as it happens and get some videos and such.

hello all, long time viewer first time poster. I was at the Mansfield Ma show tonight, setlist was the same as it has been minus roller derby. I really hafta say chino sounded amazing. He hit the high notes at the end of root, sounded like the cd. System was really good too but Deftones was who I went for and they didn't let me down

Don't they ever get bored with that setlist?

That setlist can be improved by a lot of new additions. Im getting a little tired of seeing Root and the set starting with Rocket Skates and Diamond Eyes

i'm guessing it will be the same setlist they played at Troubadour
Gentleman, you can't fight in here! This the War Room!!

I don't understand how bands can play the same thing every night. I mean it makes it easier to stay tight but it certainly takes away from the experience and almost puts across the image that they don't really care. Fans get bored, the band gets tired of it and your reputation as a live band will most likely suffer. It's frustrating as all hell. This is why I no longer give a shit about Tool tours and I don't want it to happen to Deftones too.

I hear you, and it sure is frustrating as fuck for us because we are really into the band and check out videos from practically every show - BUT, most deftones fans will probably just go and see them play every couple of years and not really look up videos on youtube, they probs don't recognize the repetitive nature of their sets. The band has done little changes to mix up their set before when people have bugged them online right (I think so not sure though)? We could try that but I suppose it is effort and I really CBA.

IF YOUR READING THIS STEPH, PUT DOWN THE DOOB AND PRACTICE PASSENGER.
There's a mass without roofs, there's a prison to fill
There's a country's soul that reads post no bills
There's a strike and a line of cops outside of the mill
There's a right to obey and there's a right to kill

With all respect, but Passenger is the very last song I'm waiting for. I'm glad that one's finally out!

How about some old rare stuff like Damone or Lifter. And I'm hoping Vesanic's Twitter action will work; Battle-axe would be awesome.

i cant believe they dont even play "bored" anymore. Stop playing MOS and 7 words; I am so tired of hearing those songs.
They opened with Rocket and diamond all through the DE tour. They have got to change it up!! I am going to start tweeting the shit out of Chino, Steph, Vega, and Frank about it.

That was one thing I used to love about deftones, you never knew what they were going to pull off during their shows. If they keep following this pattern, checking this thread will become completely pointless.

IMO the set lists became repetitive when Sergio joined. Back in 03 and 06, I'd travel round the country for each show as most nights had a few surprises - these days, its not worth it. It's bad enough being at a show and knowing what songs coming up next because of the posts on here - let alone seeing the same setlist the night before!

I'm fed up of seven words, MOS etc - these guys have a huge back catalogue - need to put a bit of magic back into the set!

There Will Be Blood

They will play more of the other songs like bored when its their concert but since they are opening for SOAD every song has to be popular, Thats how it works.

OnyxPanicProne

Its kinda lame how they keep using 7 words as the final/encore song, it becomes predictable after awhile

It is but I just wish they would try a new song to end the shows with just to mix it up

Let's face it, if ppl didnt record all the songs and if ppl didnt post the setlists on here, ppl wouldnt be getting bored of the same songs played. If you plan on seeing them multiple times on one tour you may get bored, but watching videos isnt the same as being there. Course it'd be awesome of them to play rare songs or just switch up the setlist, but for some reason they dont want to. Does it really stop you frm enjoying it to see songs live that you've seen videos of? If that's the case, stay away frm Youtube and you should adore the shows, right?

Plus, you're all forgetting something very important: the new album isnt out yet. This isnt a Diamond Eyes tour, but it's not a tour for the new album either. You dont think they'll be playing a new setlist wen the album is out? Course they will, and I'm sure they'll switch up the older songs they play too (even if just slightly).
