So is it Knife Party of Knife Prty? I am on Last.fm and there are pages for both of them so I was just curious which one is the correct one.

Its Knife Party, the misspell on the liner is just that. Just like MX is Macks and the untitled on adrenaline is FIST.

Tempest2012

That's funny. Knife Prty actually has more listens on there.

What do you mean the misspelling of it on the liner/CD back is just a misspelling? What else would you go by? How does that not officially make it Knife Prty?

I highly doubt there would be a misspelling there anyway, especially on multiple versions of the album...

Plus it's cooler lol.

And where is Mx called Macks/Max? I read that it was originally called Max because of the similarity in music to Soulfly (Max Cavalera), but that's it..

dictatesofreason

as for Macks-its on deftonesworld, and when the band annouces that they are going to "play knife party next" im pretty sure chino is saying NIFE PARRRTEE, not NIFE PERTY. It dosent matter anyway, cuz we all die anyway...

What?? Just because it's Knife Prty doesn't mean you have to pronounce it weird or differently. The phonetics would stay the same- they just wanted it to look weird visibly I think...

Just one of those things....

Nope Sly, it's Party on my copy. The working title was Knife Party at the Niko so I'll go with Party.

ignore the fashion

I have multiple copies of white pony and I believe they all have it spelled Knife Prty on all of them, so that is what I would go with.

ltdef

My europe/german copy is "Party".
But I would even spell "Party" when it says "Prty" on the record, because (intentional or not) its a mistake...

I have cassettes, CD's and more, both from the USA, Europe as well as Asian pressings, they all have Knife Prty....

You must have bought a re-issue 5 years ago when you discovered Deftones ;-)

Haha, asshole. I did buy a copy in 2007 though. :P

slyartwork

Just kidding but since they changed the title on later pressings I assume Party is the right title.
