no, dutch and danish are nothing alike. i can't understand one word of dutch.

swedish and norwegian, on the other hand, have many similarities to the danish language.

yeah, i was being serious. i guess i didn't mean to ask if there was a real difference, more like you said - similarities. i'm learning to speak dutch right now.
