The tracklist for SNW is definitely jacked up.  But damn, Hole in the Earth, Rapture, Cherry Waves, Rats, Combat, Kimdracula, and Riviere,  That's a great collection of songs to me.

Yes. It left a lot to be desired. That's why Eros holds a certain mystique in my mind. Terry Date and Deftones together again. Stefs first record with the 8 string. Chi on guitar on a track. My goodness. I bet that batch of songs trumps anything they have ever and will do.

I remember when i first started listening to deftones (heard knife party first on tv) i saw that they had alot of live performances, the first one i watched was when they played at that weird place i think it was bizzare 1998? Or pinklpop whatever? Idk, either way, the camera kept showing Abe's camera angle constantly and i could not believe how much energy and power he put in that performance. The drum set was literally moving out of place, i couldnt believe none of the drum heads were breaking through.. Still cant believe it! Hes too good!!
