I still listen to the first Gore teaser every now and then. Idk why but the instrumental version of P/T just sounded so amazing and perfect, I like to remember the exhilarated feeling I had.

Might be late for this but i just saw that Gore is expected to debut at no. 2 on the billboard 200 chart. it sold over 65,000 units in the first week. That is fucking awesome because they deserve the recognition and the sales.

Music reviews are, naturally, a highly subjective thing. Like he's saying if this was 15 years ago, it would be more to his liking. While that sounds like him saying "my former, fred durst idolizing, idiot self would love this", I can identify with what he's saying. Since Diamond Eyes I haven't been super stoked on any of their stuff. I think i've listened to Koi No Yokan maybe three times, and I'm already bored of GORE after listening through it a couple of times. Deftones' style, in my ears, is becoming really tired, and their albums pretty mediocre.

But like theneedledrop, why would you even care what i think. As long as you fucks with it, that's the only thing that matters.

I think one interview said it was the other way around - they ended up naming the track the same as the already-named album. But I would still think that that would mean it was a well-liked track among the band...
I'm sure Chino likes it more than we think.

I'm not sure if Chino ever said he didn't like it, he said it was his least favorite on the album.

The song title doesn't have much to do with how the song sounds, anyway. He still likes the word Gore and decided it'd be a good fit for the album because of the imagery conjured up by the word on top of the flying flamingos. Similar to the skull and roses for the self-titled album. So it wasn't like the album was named after the song of Gore, just the word itself.

Lol, yeah. I was thinking he'd go a 6 or a 7. It's cool, though. Not everyone has to be a fan. He can stick with his Death Grips albums (who personally do nothing for me, MC Ride is an awful, perpetually off-beat rapper) and I'll stick with my Deftones albums.

Dude he has such a hard on for them.. I've seriously tried to get into them and just can't. It's just noise to me. He's never liked Deftones.. Who cares what he thinks. I enjoy a lot of his reviews but it seems he's in the minority on this one.

I will say I agree with him with the filter on the screams. That didn't quite work on this one..
