I feel like this rollout is very controlled. They want to announce Private Music on 7/10. What that entails? Who knows, But I really don't think the song will come prior to the band announcing it/posting it themselves.

What I think/hope, is a big post or a series of posts midday US time, same time as the teasers. It could possibly include album artwork, tracklisting, pre-order dates, a single and who knows what else. I just can't see them shadow dropping the single BEFORE their Private Music reveal. Could it leak? Sure? Could I be wrong? 100%. Just my read on this.

I say enjoy one more sleep. We've been waiting here patiently, locked in this state clocking our time. The next time you sleep you will have new Deftones swirling in your mind spaces like waves. Until then, remain calm in our mental.

This...well said dude. Helluva lot easier said than done!
One last Thing...You Should Beware the Content!!

Thank God that you........ love..... at all.

Yea I don't think many people expected the single to just arrive on spotify in the middle of the night unannounced. There will be a social media post about it. Could be anytime tomorrow.

Happened with ohms single, they teased it, then it leaked from New Zealand getting it early, before they even posted about the video premiere times on ig

I guess they learned from their mistake.

I met the band backstage during the 2003 club tour at the Crest Theater. My dad worked with Chi's dad at the hospital and he got me backstage passes.

They were all really cool to me but I was just a high schooler so I didn't have much to say. Chino said what's up and Abe gave me a pair of signed sticks I still have.

Not familiar with the Spot.

Edit: oh, you mean their rehearsal spot. Nah, I never knew where that was.

Moana91

That's awesome!

Would be cool to see a pic of those drum sticks!

My understanding is that they have a rehearsal space in Sacramento that they call The Spot.

It's like their secret headquarters.

Good evening... and welcome to the white pony

I can post them later.

Yeah, I've seen it in a bunch of videos.

Moana91

Was that 2003 show the best one you've seen from them?

No, the one I saw a few months later was. That was the arena tour in San Jose. It was a lot like the 2003 Wembley show. Just so moody and atmospheric in their performance.

Moana91

I just looked up the Crest Theatre setlist and they played Battle-Axe! What a cool thing must have been to hear them play it in that Self Titled era!

They only played 11 songs tho?

I honestly don't remember how many songs they played. I trust that setlist.fm has it right though.
