11th Album ?

Do you guys think it will happen?

If so, realistically speaking, when would the guys start writing the earliest in your estimation, based on the band's past timeframes?

There's a lot of talk about retirement on other corners of the internet, but seems unlikely given the wave of popularity they've been riding, right?

They seem to be pretty rejuvenated. KNY came two years after DE... and I'm sure the label would like to cash in on it.

My guess is they stick to their now established pattern...probably start writing in 2027/28 and release an album in 29/30.

Personally if I was in their camp I'd encourage them at their age to write as much new music as possible. I think Chino said that although Private Music from start to finish was like a good two and a half years, the writing sessions put together were only like a month or so.

To me, they could comfortably put out a really good record every couple of years, but I understand their desire to not create tight schedules for themselves at this stage of their career.

Well it is happening since Stef received 2 new guitars (a 7 and 6 string) on the ESP Presents 2026 stream. He announced they will be used in the studio for the next album, and that they got those custom-made for better tuning stability (among other things probably). So he essentially soft confirmed it, in fact, being in the works.

I come from a place of privileged information, from someone very close to the deftones themselves, closer than you might think.

A brand new B-sides and rarities album is in the making, of course, it will not be named B sides and rarities 2, the name is yet to be decided.

The goal for this is to keep the popularity and traction the band has recently gained going.

The 2 tracks already re-mixed and mastered for this release are: One OHMS outtake, aswell as MELANIE, (yes, your eyes do not deceive you MELANIE, the eros track)

No bob ezrin demos will be included (100% confirmed, unsure of the reason)

I have not heard the 2 tracks at all yet, it is planned to be at least 8 tracks, so not an EP, a full "album".

Ah yes, so we're talking about an "insider" who popped up last September promising a B-sides and rarities album for the following summer... and here we are, months later... any news?
