I plan on seeing that this week.  Our theaters tend to fill up with teenagers who laugh and scream and yell for the entire movie.  My wife gets mad at me 'cause I like to tell them off.  I think it's funny.

yesterday i watched:

friday the 13th: the final chapter (the best in the series and i had to watch it since it was friday the 13th, hehe. awesome movie)
9/10

event horizon (not as scary as i thought, but it definitely had its chilling moments.)
6.5/10

hostel (i dont get why so many people hate it. it's a damn good horror movie)
8/10

Because of the first fucking hour of meaningless, unintelligent rantings from 3 teenage mutant idiot retards !

Azwethinkweiz

have you ever watched any of the oldschool horror movies? friday the 13th, nightmare on elm street, etc?

all teens are fucking idiots in horror movies. that's what is so charming about these movies.

this one has it all; sex, tits, drugs and gore. what more could you ask for?

yes, the plot is simple but it works and the torture is damn effective (except the 'eye' scene, that was just hilarious.)

Intelligence.

I need movies that amaze me, makes me ponder about society, the human mind, movies that puzzle me. So it's quite a given that i'm not into Horror movies, hehe. :)

And that's cool, man. I wish i didn't fail at seeing the good in movies that aren't really complicated.

But, I watched Super X-Girlfriend with my girl last night. It was fun. They totally underplayed Eddie Izzard, though ! :)

As a fan of cheesy, B-movie horror movies and gore, Hostel wasn't good.  Now it wasn't bad either.

anyone around here into experimental films? and no, i don't mean anything you would see in a theatre, regardless of how experimental you think tarantino is.

i mean stuff like this: Stan Brakhage Desistfilm

Azwethinkweiz

that was definitely weird.

one weak

haha, i know. that's the point. he taught film at my university until he passed away a few years ago. highly regarded as the father of experimental film. fincher can thank him for his opening title sequence to Se7en.

Azwethinkweiz

ahh cool.

yeah the opening sequence in Seven is definitely one of my favorite opening sequences. i love it.

The opening to House of 1000 Corpses is sweet

neurotic
