I pray to God that the date remains in May. I love having new Deftones in May. May 2003 when Self-Titled came out was one of my favorite times of my life and it had a lot to do with Deftones and May being my favorite time of year. I have a great feeling about this record and I know its going to be perfect for that time of release. That's just me bullshitting optimism but fuck it. I gotta have something to look forward to.
New Circa Survive is looking like May too. Should be a good month.

That's one thing i want to be excited for, but I was so let down by On letting go that it just doomed to the shit bin any new Dirka. Even Anthony says he feels like they lost their vibe after Juturna. I really hope they prove me wrong. |

I really hope they prove me wrong.On Letting Go was definitely a departure in some ways and I don't like it as much as Juturna but its still far better than most of the shit out there and is still a plenty solid release from them. I have hope for their third LP. Even if its not as good as Juturna, I'm sure it'll be a worthwhile listen to me. I'm excited to hear them do something different. Plus OLG has a ridiculous amount of nostalgia and sentimental value for me. I can smell masses of cicadas when I play the album. BACK ON TOPIC: I'm really looking forward to "Nylons And Suspenders." Sounds cool. |
