Now it's 10th month of the year, it time to share some results i believe
I've listened to sooo much music this year, and it's not so easy to say what is the best and what is the worst.
Some albums were slowly growing on me, some blowed my mind away after 1st listen, some albums seemed to be great at first, then i found them lame, some were underrrated by me most part of the year.
Well, here is something i have

Best Albums Of The Year: (in no order)
Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank
Even after great "good News..." this album sounds really, really cool. I love this (more agressive?) style of the band more than style of their earlier records (but they were also very good).

Interpol - Our Love To Admire
It's rather strange, but i first listened to this band only this year. And New albums was the first i've got from them. I checked all their stuff, and maybe this album is not that great as two previous albums, but... It's still Interpol. Stylish and cold. I love it.

Omar Rodriguez-Lopez - Dice Bisonte, No Bufalo
Maybe I'm a little bit obsessed by any TMV related stuff, but anyhow... This album is amazing. Omar is great guitarist, and i'm waiting that he and Zach Hill will finally release something from their project (i read it must happen even before tmv new album)

God Is An Astronaut - Far From Refuge
I'm not big fan of post-rock music, but this band and this particular album is very cool. Those keyboards (most of other post-rock bands don't use them) sounds awesome.

Emery - I'm Only A Man
I didn't have a lot of time to listen to it carefully, but even after several listens i put it to my favorite 2007 albums list.

Kill Casino -  I've Been to London to See the Queen
this is debut albums from this Indie punk rock band , and i love it a lot.

Karate High School - The League Of Tomorrow
Nintendo rock can sound awesome. Like here.

The Receiving End Of Sirens - The Earth Sings in Mi-Fa-Mi
This days i listen a lot to this band (both new and first albums). I can't say they changed a lot since their debut album. But they still rock. More experimental and ambient / post-rock, influences on rthis album are very good.

Circa Survive - On Letting Go
Just amazing album, everybody (if they haven't) should check this release.

The Panic Division -  Songs_From_The_Glasshouse
This band is not that famous, though they must be

yoda on mars

you're not the one to be obsessed by TMV  Zevaka;)

1. behemoth - the apostasy

unquestionable king this year imo. the album is the best metal shit I've ever heard.

omar - se dice bisonte, bo buffalo
omar and lydia lunch collab album
radiohead - in rainbows

and basically that's all. the music this year was pretty crap. all this new wave, new rave, new blablabla post punk pop emo bands are a pile of shit. and my biggest dissapiontment was the fall of troy's "manipulator".

theis

hmm, let's see.

best albums of 2007:

fair to midland - fables of a mayfly: what i tell you three times is true

this album is probably my favorite this year. it came out of fucking nowhere and blew me away.
all the songs are quality.

the shins - wincing the night away

these guys actually managed to top the brilliance of their last two albums
awesome album and their best yet.

modest mouse - we were dead before the ship even sank
another highlight this year. modest mouse never disappoints and they only get better with each release.

machine head - the blackening

these guys are one of the few metalbands i really fucking love and this album is the proof. THIS is how metal should be done.
amazing album from start to finish.

spoon - ga ga ga ga ga
great band, great album. is it better than gimme fiction? no, but damn close. my 2nd favorite spoon album.

minus the bear - planet ice
excellent album.  has a better flow than their previous records.

kaddisfly - set sail the prairie
another surprise this year. i hadn't really heard these guys before this album. really awesome album.

band of horses - cease to begin
another beautiful album from a fantastic band.

foo fighters - echoes, silence, patience & grace
yes yes yessss. the foo's return with their best album in 8 years.

pearl jam - live at the gorge 05/06
AMAZING 7disc set of live material.

queens of the stone age - era vulgaris
not many people seem to like this album, but i think it's pretty damn awesome. a strong comeback for the queens.

Starz

Nice one on the Panic Division there, great band!

There have been quite a lot of albums this year which I have really enjoyed, and I have found my new love in post-rock style music this year too. Maybe it's cos I'm getting older... Anyway the albums I have enjoyed thus far are:

Shels - Sea of the Dying Dhow

The Bled - Silent Treatment

Devil Sold His Soul - Fragile Hope

Fair To Midland - Fables of a Mayfly

Immanu El - They'll Come, They Come

Kaddisfly - Set Sail the Prairie

Stateless - Stateless

Strata - Presents The End of the World

Unkle - War Stories

Yndi Halda - Enjoy Eternal Bliss

Oldnewtype

I'm sure there were a few great albums this year I can't necessarily think of, but theres two that stand out in particular:

Between The Buried and Me - Colors
and
Down III - Over and Under

Tomahawk was good, but not as good as the rest. New Manson was the biggest let down of the year.

Starz

Biggest let down for me this year was Oceansize. I really want to like that album but it just doesn't do anything for me. Plus I'm seeing them next Wednesday when they'll most likely be playing all their new stuff. Oh well, can't please everybody I guess isn't that right Dad? Yeah exactly m8, exactly.

#7
in no particular order

august burns red - messengers
I really loved their style on their first CD, and they just took it to the next level in every respect.  one of my favorite metalcore CDs ever.

between the buried and me - colors
i haven't listened to it a whole lot yet, but i already feel the riffs a lot and the production is really really tight. i'm sure this'll just get higher on the list

fair to midland - fables from a mayfly...
i was really looking for a semi-heavy yet very melodic band at the time, and this band just sorta fell into my lap and satisfied what i was lookin for entirely.  great melodies from all aspects, and a lot better rhythm-work than their genre counterparts.

minus the bear - planet of ice
i love everything they do, and they didn't fail me this time, either.  great jamming and chilling music, can't wait to see them again on the 27th, they're definitely my favorite live band.

circa survive - on letting go
i was expecting a lot out of this cd, and it still blew me away.  i adore every aspect of this cd: production, atmosphere, and of course the always unique music and vocals.

the receiving end of sirens - the earth sings mi fa mi
i was afraid that losing casey was gonna ruin treos, but they still made a grand cd without him.  a lot of epicness on this cd, and i really dig the mellow direction as much as i miss the heavier parts.

darkest hour - deliver us
not their best material IMO, but i still dig the riffage and the greater emphasis on melody.

job for a cowboy - genesis
awesome, awesome extreme metal.  these guys tear it up in every respect.  so fast.

lovedrug - everything starts where it ends
wasn't expecting much out of this cd, their last one had a few good-ass songs but was fairly mediocre as a whole, but this cd is a lot more balanced.  i like it.

through the eyes of the dead - malice
i'm always a sucker for crazy fast metal with the double pedal/tremolo madness and the crazy breakdowns, and tteotd made another great example of this.  i dig their new vocalist a lot too.

the black dahlis murder - nocturnal
i've liked this band for awhile, and while everyone was disappointed by miasma or whatever, i really dug it still.  i thought it enhanced a lot of their strengths from unhallowed, and nocturnal did the same for miasma.  really tight drums and guitar, with a lot cleaner but heavier production.  i like very much.

architects - ruin
really good off-time metal stuff.  they sometimes throw in some really effective melodies that really balance things out.  almost every song is really solid.

strata - presents: the end of the world
really liked their last cd, there's not much of s/t in this one, the singer sounds a lot different, and they seem to have lost the nu-metal feel for the most part.  1 and 2 are a couple of the best songs i've ever heard, i've listened to them so many times since it came out.  the rest of the cd is pretty damn good too, but those are definitely the stand-out tracks.

chimaira - resurrection
lots of good riffs and drumming, the singer is pretty fuckin weak, but the rest of it makes up for him for the most part.

brother ali - the undisputed truth
brother ali is undisputably my favorite rapper.  ant's beats are always sick, and they're really taken to a new level on this cd.  not to mention bro's rhymes are as solid as ever.  i recommend picking up this cd even if you're not a fan of rap.  the way he weaves words is great.

there's a few more that i've probably forgotten and have yet to listen to, but i have not been disappointed this year, a lot of bands have put out my favorite cds by them.  i'll update it when i feel like it.

EDIT:

jimmy eat world - chase this light
i just love everything they do.  even though they don't really sound much different again this record, it's still good stuff.  really heartfelt and whatnot

Oldnewtype

Wow, I didn't even know Circa Survive put out a new cd. I'll have to check it out.

White Wrist

Radiohead - in rainbows (for sure)
Down III
NIN - Year Zero
NIN - BYIT (DVD)
QOTSA - Era Vulgaris
PJ Harvey - White Chalk
Smashing P. - Zeitgeist
Unkle - War stories
Foo Fighters - Echoes...

what a year!

and...Puscifer. Maynard knows what to do. Let´s wait.

black coffee

aereogramme - my heart has a wish that you would not go
my unassailable favorite album of the year. it's one of these albums that make me sad, but also happy.

stateless - stateless
if it hadn't been for aereogramme, this could be at the top for me. a little bit of electronic, jazz, trip hop and rock. that must sound crazy, and it is. listen to "bluetrace", the part beginning after 3:30minutes. it blows you away.

radiohead - in rainbows
so the new album is out... what can I say? nothing.

god is an astronaut - far from refuge
giia do everything but disappoint. after the 1st minute of "radau" I was already feeling it. and it's huge.

idiot pilot - wolves
can't say I was a big fan of their 1st album, but this one caught my attention immediately and belongs up there to my favorite albums of this year. excellent drumming by chris pennie, too.

fair to midland
after reading nothing but good words about this band, I had to listen to this album. It's lots of fun. music for car rides.

maserati - inventions for the new season
experimental, kind of psychedelic instrumental post rock music.it was a new music experience for me, I've never heard something like this before.

north - ruins
instrumental metal. some parts are really heavy. and when I say heavy, then I mean it. but they also lean out of the Mono/ EITS window. it's dark, but there is also a light... I have no idea, check it out.

*shels - sea of the dying dhow
some parts are so sedate you want to categorize them as chill out acoustic music. then they'll surprise you with deftones-like guitars and screams and the first thing you have to do is turn down the volume. I love this album.

yndi halda - enjoy eternal bliss
while I already used the word "beautiful" before, it' also fits to yndi halda perfectly.
the concert earlier this year was stunning. I remember standing there after the show, talking to some of the guys, and I was so embarrassed that I couldn't open my mouth.. then something like "t-t-t-t-thank you for that experience" came out and I went away. ashamed.

parhelia - oceans apart
beautiful instrumental rock music.

pinback - autumn of the seraphs
whatever rob crow touches, be it his first solo album, other men or pinback, it turns out good. this album became my summer album of the year. clever and catchy music.

sleeping people - growing
another interesting, instrumental-only album. what kind of music is this?  progressive rock? experimental? I don't know, but it's ambitious, it's exciting, it's clever and it's just good music.

disappointments :

minus the bear - planet of ice
I expected this to become my favorite summer album. unfortunately it didn't work out. it's good as it is, but didn't impress me as much as their previous works.

oceansize - frames
the album starts strong with Commemorative T-Shirt, but then it goes downhill. many tracks simply take too long. they let the listener wait for something that's not going to happen.

circa survive - on letting go
the 1st album was good, but this one didn't reach me at all.

dude he's super weak.  the rest of the music is fuckin bomb, but he has always been the shittiest member in my mind.  and don't call me an asshole, i'll end your life.

Starz

The guy who does the samples/keyboards is the best. Pass Out Of Existence is still the best album in my opinion.

rainnyx4

I don't think I bought a single new album released this year.

Pretty much everything I've been buying lately has been from the mid '90s.
