i agree, there's a good chance it's never released. getting Chino to finish the vocals wil prove to be impossible. he'll wanna start a new album, wait for Chi, finish the holy ghost, etc etc etc any excuse

To be fair, you don't always want to revisit the past.  The only serious reason I could see this
having any more chance than anything else (Finger of Death) of seeing the light of day is that
it may very well (sadly) end up being the last thing Chi played on.  I could see them wanting
to honor it in some way because of that.  On the other hand, that might be too painful.

Keep in mind, it may be a good thing that it's never heard.  Maybe it sucks.

Was on here before and sorta got tired of the immaturity of some asshole knowitalls who talk like they are in the band. Well, I'm back with an open mind and want to share opinions and info with the  people of Sharing Lungs who have an outstanding ear for music . Anyways, I'm Allan from a Detroit area suburb called Romeo ( Kid Rock, Eminem)  and have been a fan since I heard adrenaline in 1996 when I was just a sophomore in "high" school. My favorite band, hands down. So I already share (obviously) a special joy with most of you. I love that they took time to grow on me like a lot of their tunes have to after I PURCHASE  an album. They fucking mesmerize me. I just want to say about D E that it sounds like it will be one of or maybe THEE best so far from what we've all read thus far! But, with that said I do want to add that "Diamond Eyes'" 30 sec sample was only enough to give me the feeling that it's a bit too produced i guess, and commercial sounding. Hopefully the full length song is a little more defesque. Love the lyrics, dont like the sound of the chorus. Chino sounds BETTER than ever so far though! Love the track names bc I agree that track names are important to the painted picture. Especially with the deftones. They have the raddest fking names most of the time like it's researched before hand or something. (by the way, can someone tell me how or if Chi is related to Dai the Flu?) Stupid question? idk. And idc either. I have many different kinds of friends who listen from country to fkn jazz,( everything) and don't have one friend who listens to these geniuses with me. FUCK EM!!!!!!! Nice to meet yall and I am every bit as stoked for this record as you people who I can only relate to on this shit! The anticipation is killing us all like a slooooooooooow death. "This time is death"

well I argree with you saying the album might be pretty good. and to answer your question about dia the flu I don't know if this was what your asking but "dia" is Chi's middle name or something like that. as for the rest of your comments im to lazy to read the rest you wrote. and  I ve been drinking, please excuse me.

sooner or later we will hear it. either the band revisits it (not that likely), or the record label will release a song or two in the box set that will come shortly after the band splits up.

Funny thing is, we were all pised that team sleep's new record was to be released in 2006 as they anounced in like 2007. And that is not happenning too. They have a good excuse this time anyway, you can't blame people for the unexpected.

Not a bad theory. Deerhunter was getting ready to release Microcastle in 2008, then Bradford's[singer] megaupload files were hacked and people found that there was something called the Weird Era Cont.. It was supposed to be a surprise disc with more music then just the new album...

now there's a reliable source    i dont know,i would love to hear eros ,i really really do.. but its suppose to be wierd, experimental and dark.. and as chino is getting older.. and he seems to be past that misery stuff ..in life,and in music.. refering to it as "old and done" ..not sure he will stand behind such a release. fuck u chino

the eros clips in the studio wasnt so snappy? and even melanie, which is a pretty fast track, have kind of a sad depressing chorus
