I actually called Gore the Radiohead of Deftones albums the other day.  That's the best way I could describe it.  I love both bands.

Xenon was my least favourite song on first listen but I'm really fond of it now.

It is a grower. It didn't live up to the clip we heard for me, especially the chorus, it switched the mood of the verses too much and I didn't like it, but it has grown on me, for sure, very catchy chorus. It kept repeating over and over in my head in the middle of the night, I was trying to sleep but I kept waking up and that damn chorus was replaying, haha, it was ridiculous. That's not why I kept waking up, I've not fallen victim to a Deftones curse, but it was just...THERE.

I love Frank's effects during the chorus though.

Each song on Gore is addictive for an intense 6 hours then you cycle through them again

The album as a whole is a grower, IMO. I think the most "instant" songs are P/T and Doomed User.

It took me around maybe 8 listens to the whole thing to finally get it, and I love the album now. At first I thought there was way too much Chino, but then again on my first listens to Adrenaline I thought every song sounded the same and it was all just random screaming, and S/T was a chaotic mess of songs that didn't fit together. I love both of them now, S/T being my favorite. Gore seems to be just as much a grower, and it's already turning into one of my favorites too.

I love Frank's bits in the outro of Rubicon. Lovely extra layer.

His placement in the entire album is amazing, but on Rubicon it's just outta this world. There's this really smooth piano thing playing arpeggios during the "You cannot face the crowd" part that is absolutely amazing. I just wish it was louder, though....
